I read somewhere that crush curls are a great chest exercise. The article I read mentioned any exercise that you have to wrap your arms around the weight and lift will work your chest muscles brilliantly. The article mentioned atlas stones or bags of sand but I was wondering if by using a tribar whilst making sure you really try to push your hands towards each other would work just as well.

im not sure that there would be much that would mimic something along the lines of an atlas stone or sandbag, but i would think that if you held a barbell in the crook of your elbows and folding your arms across it, and then sort of raising it upwards would work better. just thinking through it, i think it would be essential to cross your arms to activate the chest more, so as to not make it more of a delt move.
lets pretend im an idiot, what are crush curls?
