“CF argues … “The fundamental, ineluctable fact is that a male competitor who has a sex reassignment procedure still has a genetic makeup that confers a physical and physiological advantage over women.””
/end thread
It isn’t even a issue, as far as I am concerned for ease, peace and common sense, we have male and female gender anything else just creates confusion, and are just social construct with no basis. The point is if a man is born a man let him be cool with it,likewise a woman. Don’t go around claiming you have a female soul or any of those …

did you read the next link?
Sorry to have to be the voice of reason here, but could they not just have introduced a handicap that meant he/she could have competed and then had points altered so as to bring him/her in line with either the women’s group or the men’s? Or just stopped them from doing crossfit in the first place and thus made the world a better place?
Men will die for points, even if they were once women, it seems.
The lawsuit is a bit of a joke, IMO. They should just have a separate category or class for individuals under these circumstances.

please read the second link
Why? What will it tell me that I can’t deduce? Why don’t you do the running around and give me the gist of what you’re trying to say instead of expecting me to do it for you?

I think whites and blacks should be living separate for ease, peace and common sense. We have Eurasian empires while negros only invented sticks on their own, anything else just creates confusion. Race mixing is a social construct with no basis.
The point is if a man is born white, let him be cool with it, likewise for coloreds. Don’t go around claiming you have equal rights or any of those…

It is literally impossible for them to devise such a handicap with any shred of accuracy. it would illegitimize the entire contest and open up a can of worms with other people wanting special, individually catered handicaps for whatever their deal is.
Crossfit is the UGG boots of the fitness world. The workout for metrosexual granola fags.

I’d be in favor of letting her compete.
Part of going MfF is to fucking tank your testosterone levels so that negates any advantage you had before.
After all, there’s also women with manly bone structures and vice versa.
If she’s legally a woman then that’s that!
The cult around aggressively re-branding circuit training and replacing it’s useful components with retarded shit (Crossshit) doesn’t have the authority here, the state does!
Just another reason Crossfit is bullshit.
Besides, olympics as i understand it allows people to compete in their chosen genders.

Beep, incorrect answer. Wow, Crossfit wrong yet again.
When the transition begins, they are limiting testosterone( most cases by castration chemical or surgical), and taking estrogen. In the above mentioned case, she has undergone srs surgery(for those that don’t know what this it, it means the penis is made into a vagina), and she is for all intents and purposes a women. Her birth certificate, her license, everything including her vagina indicates she is a women.
Now if we want to be technical about this case, she only has one source of testosterone production, whereas the genetic girls she is competing with have two. So if we’re going to argue about anything, it would be that she would be at a disadvantage.
Besides estrogen doesnt help bone mass or muscle mass for record. There is a reason females are at increased risk for osteoporosis.
Furthermore, look up effects of castration. Not having testes certainly doesn’t help with muscle mass and bone density. Then add to it exogenous estrogen and voila, you are not a man anymore. You sure as hell will not have an advantage over a genetic woman.
I guess with that logic, we should create a separate category for people with different eye colors, hair colors, hell why not skin colors just to be safe. Especially skin colors, that seemed to be popular for a while.

Thank god someone has some sense.
Didn’t read the articles yet.
Not sure I’m buy into all that Heracles is saying. The pubertal process that a male goes through leads to thicker, strong bones and connective tissue, larger hands and feet, and a more “athletic” skeletal shape (wider clavicles, less angular femurs from hip to knee). I’m sure some of it is reversed with the dump of estrogen, but I’m guessing some of that skeletal structures stays, y’know?
Just read what the physician had to say on that facebook post so never mind that ^^^
My understanding is that too much testosterone supplementation for a woman can lead to irreversible side effects. So how could a man go through puberty and not also experience those irreversible side effects?
I thought it was well understood that there are benefits and advantages to supplementing T long after the supplementation has stopped, hence the argument that favours lifetime bans for athletes who test positive.
Those numbers are well above average. Comparing her performance to top athletes rather than overall performance does not make a case that she doesn’t have an advantage over average women.
Seems to me like just following the Olympic guidelines would have made sense.
There is a simple solution to this, let her compete with the females. If she wins then obviously there is an advantage. If she loses then it doesn’t matter.
So competing in CF is now a human right.
