Critique My Cutting Diet

I am 17 years old 5’7 155 pounds currently cutting.My Bmr is 1800 if this is any help to critiqueing the diet. I am open to any suggestions and please let me know if anything should be changed
(workout day)

(7:10)1 can of tuna tuna, 1 cup of dried oats(for oatmeal)efa’s, calcium, vitamin c, chromium,5g creatine
(9:00)1 hour workout
(10:00)PWO 50g whey isolate 40g simple carbs (15 mins after) efa’s, calcium, vitamin c, chromium, multi vitamin,10g creatine
(1:00)1 chicken breast,1 cup frozen green beans, 1 cup cooked brown rice
(4:00)1 salmon filet,1 cup frozen green beans, efa’s calcium, vitamin c,chromium
(7:00)1 sole fillet,bowl of salad(just lettuce)
(10:00)zinc pill
(10:30)1 cup of cottage cheese, 2 celery sticks, calcium,efa’s vitamin c, 5g creatine

(Cardio day)

It would help if you crunched the numbers for everyone - not many people are going to sit hit here with a calculator and nutritiondata.com on another browser to check what your totals are, but since it’s your diet, you should know, so let us in on the totals! : )

dido - we don’t want to have to breakdown your macros to get your totals. but, on the surface i think you are doing things properly over-all.

couple things: i don’t think you need to be taking chromium seperately from your multi. from what i have read, chromium has very little effect on blood-sugar regulation and you would hate to over-consume it when you should be getting it in your multi anyway. as far as your creatine goes, it’s been found that it’s best to take with a high-glycemic sugar (dex or malto) and a protein for best muscle up-take, immediately before and/or after your weight w/o. and, at only 155 pounds, i don’t think you need 10 grams! 5 is more than enough and you only need it on w/o days (not on off or cardio days).

i also think you could eat more colorful veggies. try to eat several green veggies and at least one of a red, purple, yellow, orange variety.

also, forgive my prying, but why are you cutting???!!! 155 pounds at any height is not that big! unless you are an underwear model, i would have to assume that you really don’t need to be cutting. you should be bulking big time! not to mention, the fall (depending on your climate) is a tough time to diet. if i were you, i would hold off at least until after the first of the year, giving yourself another 3 months to hit the weights. if you aren’t 12%+ body fat, i see no need to cut, at any height/weight!

1)“Crunching some numbers” would help in order to critique you diet.

  1. Inherent in your request is really a need for us to know your BF%.

See what you can do…but in the meantime, you seem to have a good grasp of things!
