Haha you may owe me a tub of Surge. A few of his team members came to our last UPA meet here so he may be at our next one.

I doubt I would make it too far into his gym as I would walk in with my old Clemson sweats and workout gear on. I’m sure his little South Carolina Barbell group wouldn’t be too happy. Oh and by little I mean the smallest one could eat me in between squat attempts.

just a short update on what i was doing, sry CP to hyjack your thread :stuck_out_tongue:
i missed my goal today do deadlift 286, so my 265 still remains… however i was partying this weekend so perhaps my goal was unrealistic.
after your last advice im doing forarm training now and the plate grips are a difficult exercise, i look at the mirror and want to punch myself for torturing myself. but then i guess its what we are made to do :wink:

hope everything is working out for you. when is your next meet/competition?

I trained in that gym most of my life! Buddy’s Gym right! Until I went away to college I was always a member there. I love it, especially when no one is there but me and my buds.

OK so here’s the updates:

-Haven’t trained in about a week
-Diet was crap…well not total crap but not eating enough, no supplements, and drinking about every night
-Go figure I now have a cold

  • But hell I was on vacation in South Beach

OH and I got engaged this past week :stuck_out_tongue:

Very exciting stuff and all of this has been planned for several months now (with the exception of getting a cold).

I was supposed to train today but I have to stay late at work and my head cold is killing me. So I’ll be back at it maybe tomorrow but for sure on Thur for squats!

In there every Mon, Tue, and Thur at about 5:30. I train at Total Fitness on Fri.

What are you training tomorrow? I may stop in and bust my ass.

Squats but I think it may be a full crowd tomorrow. Usually on squat days Nash goes heavy (~800lbs) so we’ll have enough guys there to be side spotters and such. Plus it will be my first time squatting in over a week so maybe next week will be better so you can’t come on here and tell everyone how weak I am :stuck_out_tongue:

So gkchesterton stopped by for a workout yesterday. He has a pretty good bench, better than mine, so it was cool to have a T-Nation guy stop by. Haha he got to witness the power that is Shannon in person.
