Creative Food Recipes for Metabolic Drive

I recently competed in a figure competition and I dieted for 20 plus weeks. So of course, like every newbie, I stuffed my face with everything and anything in sight after the show. It was not pretty. lol. But now, its time to get back on track and eat clean.

This morning I was craving something sweet and tasty, so I experimented with the typical ingredients I use for breakfast: 1) eggs whites 2) oats and 3) met-drive.

Voila! I made a tasty Met-Drive Protein Pancake that satisfied my craving.

Here’s what I did…

Ingredients:

1/2 cup uncooked oatmeal (I used Old Fashion Oats)
1/2 scoop Metabolic Drive
4 egg whites
Pam Cooking Spray
Splenda (optional)
Sugar Free Maple Syrup

Mix all ingredients (except the Pam and Syrup) in a large bowl until blended well.
Lightly spray Pam on a pan Pour the mix in a frying pan over Medium-High Heat. Cook the pancake until all edges are bubbling and the center is taunt, flip and cook other side until crispy.
Remove from heat and top with syrup.

If anyone has any other recipes or suggestions I’d be interested to try them out!

Yum!

This has been my staple for years. All sorts of combinations.

Congrats on the Figure Comp.

I also add flax meal, just to be safe :slight_smile:

Looks great ! Great nutritional profile too, good carbs, high protein, WIN!

I don’t get too crazy with making recipes with MD. I just put a spoonful in my morning oats for some taste, and get the rest of my protein from eggs. BUT I do use one recipe that I stole from Jonny Bowden, it is fucking amazing and will make you shit your pants. Not literally, figuratively, like it’s really amazing.

Ingredients:
1 cup flaxseed meal
1 cup vanilla protein powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 packet splenda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup oat flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon macadamia nut or coconut oil
1 cup plain yogurt
2 eggs
Option: You can use Almond milk to get a more liquid consistency if you so wish. I wish, so that’s what I did.

Combine flax seed meal, protein powder, baking soda, splenda, salt, oat flour and cinnamon in a big bowl and stir together.
Heat the oil in a griddle/skillet over medium-high heat. While it heats, whisk together the eggs/yogurt into the mixture.
Pour/wipe excess oil out of the pain when it is ready to go.
Make your basic pancakes with the mixture; you can make one big one in the skillet, or just use 1/4 cup measurer. Cook the first side for about a minute or until it starts to dry, and then cook the other side for 30-60 sec.

Looks tasty. I’ll have 3 please, lol.

Will def be giving this recipe a try! :slight_smile:

I’ve also cooked muffins with the stuff. Dont know if it affected the Metabolic Drive, but is was tasty.

@JFG Do you just add Metabolic Drive to any muffin recipe, or do you substitute a particular ingredient?

Here’s another recipe using Metabolic Drive…Its not very creative, but its easy and tasty! It makes a great bedtime meal. Its a rich protein source and the casein is slow digesting which continues to feed your muscles while you sleep :slight_smile:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of cottage cheese
1/2 scoop of Metabolic Drive (I used Banana flavor)

Mix the cottage cheese and protein. I added a dash of cinnamon.

Nutrition:

23 prot
7 carb
3.5 fat

Of course, you can always increase/decrease the measurements to meet your macros. Enjoy!

Cottage cheese + flax meal + choc Metabolic Drive + PB = awesome

Sounds scrumptious!

One of the authors posted this some time ago, but I can’t remember who.

Jell-o instant pudding
Metabolic Drive(match flavor to pudding)

Pour it into a pie crust, chill, and enjoy.

I’ve actually cut M.D. bars into chunks and mixed them in.

The nutrition facts depend on what crusts you use and how much M.D. you mix in.

^^^I love protein pudding.

I just use use jello sugar free pudding mix and substitute the milk with 2-3 scoops protein powder mixed with half water and half coconut milk. use less liquid than the package recommends if you wanna put it in a pie crust. you can also mix-in a low fat sugar free cool whip to fluff it up a bit too.

No, I just add it. I also add some liquids (1/4 cup or so).

Banana loaf is another favorite. Just add a few scoops of MB.

I don’t really measure. I am a chef by trade and lot of recipe are on top of my head. When it comes to baking, I add the MB and "feel’ what the consistency is. Add some liquid, next time less flour, etc.

And no, I don’t write recipes.

@JFG: great thanks!

@paste: trying it this weekend. I’ll post a picture (if it isn’t too much of a disaster bc I have no culinary skills) I’m looking forward to trying it :slight_smile:

Peanut Butter Dough Balls

Ingredients:
1/2 cup of peanut butter (I used Skippy’s Natural Peanut Butter)
1/2 cup of oats
1 scoop of Metabolic Drive
1/4 cup of Waldens Chocolate Syrup (optional)

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and form into small 1" balls. Place in the fridge for a few hours and then enjoy.

I was able to make 12 1" dough balls.
The nutritional facts for one dough ball:
Cal = 86
pro = 4g
carb = 4g
fat = 6g

Makes a decent snack

These look great!!
My sister came up with a really simple way to make Met Drive Frappuccinos. Put coffee (with splenda), ice,
1 scoop vanilla Met Drive, and if you want a little bit of vanilla extract in a blender and mix.
Tastes pretty good and very similar to a Frappuccino… there is something missing from the recipe, but we haven’t figured out exactly what yet…
