Awesome Banana Protein Pancakes!

Hey guys, not sure if anyone has posted this, but i got a little creative with my breakfast and found that adding Metabolic Drive Banana flavored protein powder to your pancake mix is fuckin delicious and you get your extra protein in the morning. the way i do it is:

1 cup Healthy Heart Bisquik Mix
1 cup Metabolic Drive Banana Protein
2-3 eggs
1-1 1/4 cup milk (depending if you like your pancakes thick or runny)

along with that, i usually have 2 or 3 whites. i figure you get about 80-90 grams of protein! give it a try sometime!

Since I’m on the AD, I usually just use a serving of whey + one egg for a pancake…but that sounds tasty too. Is it whole wheat flour?

Look around at health food stores and you can find low carb baking mix.

Bob’s red mill has some great flours you can also mix with this to make muffins/pancakes/ pretty much anything with a much much lower carb content.

I pancake from that powder once, they had a slightly nutty/grainy taste but were very good, considering I was on a low carb diet.

I’ve tried a few different recipes adding protein mixes and/or egg whites to pancakes and it always makes them pretty airy and probably more fluffy than most people like. Still, I think it’s a good alternative, but if you are making breakfast for people who usually don’t eat a lot of egg whites or protein mixes, they might not like it so much.

You can save some money by just buying a big bag of oatmeal and grinding the oats up to make oat flour. There are lots of good recipes out there.
