I know there is an initial loading phase of roughly 10g of creatine per day. Can a healthy person still take 10g per day after the loading phase? I have also seen to take .1g per kg of body weight.
Yes.
Thanks. I’m gonna give 10g/day a try!
Does more help? Or is there a certain point where your muscles are saturated and more doesn’t matter? I’ve only ever read 5mg a day.
Once your muscles are fully saturated with creatine (usually after the loading phase or a few weeks of consistent use) taking more than 5g per day doesn’t really add much benefit. 10g a day won’t hurt most healthy people, but it’s more than what your body typically needs to maintain saturation. I personally stick with 5g daily and it works great. Just make sure to stay well-hydrated while taking it!
I always feel better with 10g a day rather than 5g, might be just me but i notice an improvement overall.
Could have cognitive benefits
Your body pees away what it can’t use, which is why people limit the dose in the first place. Two daily teaspoons is unlikely to hurt or help; but more is not better.
