Yesterday was an off-day. I plan on making Monday’s off days as the gym, or more so the gym parking (gym is in a mall) is insane on Monday’s.
The gym I train at has also received some new equipment, but only for the PT section, which is now ‘roped’ off. A pet peeve among member is that PT’s can use ANY piece of equipment in the gym, but the regular member cannot. Also, the PT’s seem to ‘move’ equipment into their area and then ask you what you’re doing when you come and take the equipment back (db’s mostly).
All this while they have their overweight client doing alternating arm DB curls (these will get you hawt abz ya know). Where did they learn this stuff?
I’m also going to ‘seriously’ carb cycle now. As you can see from yesterday’s diet, my carbs were around the 150 mark (although my protein was too low). So effectively my low carb days will be 150, my medium carb days will be 250 and my high carb days will be 350.
Today is MV/MI shoulder day. I could use the workout!

Ddot, you’re eating the same calories that I am. How are you surviving?

I’m glad to see you’re eating more. I’d hate to see you blow away like some dandelion fluff or something.
btw, what’s your experience with fat burners.
No kidding about the dumb bells last night. They were hidden like easter eggs.
Fat burners are good. But you should always cycle them or they eventually do little to aid in that regard.
I prefer HOT-ROX Extreme. They seem to give me the best results. You could try Ephredrine but those now give me the jitters, unless I build up to the 25mg level (meaning start w/ 8mg for a few days, then 16mg then 24mg).

I just checked them out and they’re on back order. Do you know anywhere else to get them?

Oh yeah, strange thing this morning.
Anteaters overtook the Tim Horton’s.
PS: If you’re on vacation, what are you doing at Timmy’s before 10am? I hope you were coming home from the bar!
He probably spent the night with the bridesmaids again and needed the extra caffeine to get home.
Are you feeling beleaguered at all? You have one woman looking for advice on dropping weight and another looking for it on gaining. Just don’t get us mixed up

He had the bride with him, so maybe she was picking him up and replenishing his fluids for his morning shift?
As for mixing you two up, I had a nice chuckle on that one.
Big calorie day for me. Although that is where I’d like to be when maintaining.
Wednesday - Legs - LV/HI
A. Deadlifts
2 x 10 x 135lbs (First set was SLDL followed immediately with Conventional DL)
8 x 225lbs
6 x 315lbs
3 x 365lbs
2 x 405lbs **These were pretty easy so I thought I’d jump right to 455.
0 x 455lbs **Moved it about two inches but felt too forward and over the bar, so dropped it.
1 x 435lbs **Decided I needed to do more than the 425 I did last time, so went to 435.
1 x 445lbs
I really found some things in my form. I have a hard time getting the bar to my knees but once I’m over my knees, I can really get the bar moving. I think with some deficit pulls I’ll be able to break that 500lb mark faster than expected.
B. Leg Extensions
12 x 165
12 x 180
12 x 195
11 x 210
Most I’ve ever done on Extensions.
The gym was a chalky mess when I left. Court had arrived near the end of my session and offered up a great story about butter faces, chlamydia, close calls and diamonds and we watched Scottie TRY to clean 225lbs.
Today’s an off day so calories will be low. I’m looking at a 2000kcal day, with 70g F, 50g C and about 280g P.

Nice DL session.
Another option for developing the starting strength is just DL to your knees. I was doing it as part of some Sheiko-style training awhile ago. It was a good lift for later in your training session since it didn’t require a lot of lower back use, mostly just legs/hips.
So when’s your show? And have you told the significant other yet?

I might give that a go since I perform dead’s on my leg day. Maybe something like deficit dead’ss and dead’s to knee for my next LV/HI session.
Now, has anyone seen that shiny quarter I dropped?
As for my show, I haven’t completely decided. The plan is to see where I am come July and make a decision thereabouts. There are quite a few fall shows (Sep to Nov) so there are plenty of options for me.
If I do another one though, I am hoping to pick up some hardware.

Just to clarify, that story was not about me in any way, shape or form.
Ddot, I read the article on adding 20lbs to your deadlift and might give some of it a try. In the absence of anyone threatening to cut your legs off with a chainsaw light rdls and ab rollouts seem like a good way to get everything firing.

I actually did sets of 3 Ab Rollouts in between each DL set last night.
Part of my issue was getting ‘behind’ the bar and pulling. Another part was mental in that I could just move the weight above my knees without wrecking my low back.
I think I solved both those issues last night. Now if I can add some true strength to ‘below the knee’ dead’s, I should be increasing my 1RM significantly.
