Couture's Circuit Training

Complexes are hell yo start try a basic superset cleans and jettlebell swings or snatches and box jumps do these and imagine even more exercises when you are done that is the feeling of a complex.

im going to start giving kmc’s process a shot. anyone here read ‘training for warriors’ by rooney?

It’s an ok read lots of cool exercises and a decentish 8 week program.

hmm, maybe that Couture fella was on to something

All of those complexes are similar to the original javorek ones.

Or kick kmc in the balls.

I like this option…

serious though, KMC, I am not sure that the bigger guys were doing things much different. i saw a thing on brock lesnars training, and it looked a lot like what you described. lots of unilateral leg work, pullups, pushups, drills, ect. the only thing that might have been different, is the jumps. i know that my throw/OL coaches did not want anybody over 200lbs doing depth jumps or plyo work, but that is just in my very limited experience.

HT I like that option too…:))

Id bet in the time frame Im referencing- late 80’s early 90’s that you are right, that much larger wrestlers
did not do that much jumping- certainly none of the box jumps or the ‘kneeling jumps’
maybe some of the broad jumps on the track but probably not.

Im sure there was more Iron- in the form of jerks, snatches, big squat and big dead, big cleans,
and prob some clean/high pull/ snatch stuff as conditioning.

I always like that you always say your limited experience yet you have done so much athletically,
I think that is great and classy.

Whatever, i bet that isn’t his real workout, you guys are sweating about something that isn’t worth your time.

Actually I know first hand that he trained for years this exact way.
If you read the thread, you would see that, but reading comprehension vs babble is allot to expect.
so really stay puff, shhhhh while the adults talk.

Yeah I remember in some old interview Randy said he did complexes plyos and treadmill runs. Now Couture works with Jake Bonacci and does different stuff.
