Countdown to 1st Contest

hahahaha i never think of these things, posing trunks, geez depends how ya manhood goes after u get pumped up and all your blood flows to your muscles and not the one between your legs :stuck_out_tongue:

checked out whitacre and shit he gets shredded aye, damn, but i think youll be at least that good buddy, good luck

onwt comment on the cardio question, just say i think ur doing well as is.

If your glutes are conditioned really well, I’d go with the skimpy one. No big deal, you’ll only be wearing them for this one time, unless ur into that sort of thing. lol.

Which ever you wear, make sure you have a toaster and a pop tart thrown into your routine.

In fact, wear the skimpy one and have a Pop Tart covering your junk just like a fig leaf.

Kickin’ ass, Stu… Kickin’ ASS!

For anyone who thinks that I’m not having my “damn this sucks”-days, Tonight was Interval Cardio, and I’m trying to keep my overall cals and carbs pretty low to really eat into my glycogen stores. Sitting here with my dinner, let me just say it’s pretty pitiful.

A cup of egg whites, cooked with 3 slices of turkey and raw broccoli (a lot of it!), dosed in tabasco sauce. On the side, a bowl of lettuce with walden farms calorie free ranch dressing (not as tasty as real ranch dressing mind you), and for my ‘treat’,… some Diet Mug Root Beer… total calories for dinner… 200 :frowning:
Cals for the day - 2090
Carbs for the day - 40g
Prot for the day - ~340g

What has been keeping me going lately, when people I see everyday look at my food intake and comment that they “couldn’t do it”… I think to myself… “That’s because I’m better than you” -lol. THere’s something self gratifying/inspiring about holding yourself to a higher standard than other people. I hope that doesn’t sound arrogant, I don’t mean it do be, it’s just some mind games I’ve been playing with myself.

The lifting of the weights is easy, even the eating is fun when you tell yourself this is how you’re gonna get huge,… the actual dieting down… especially to competition levels,… let me just say,… this is not fun. Well, it is kinda cool seeing new definition in the mirrors, but the days when you really feel deprived, you end up trying to rationalize why you’re doing it.

Stu-

I had a half a gallon of whole milk for dinner, 1lb of grilled chicken w/ whole wheat pasta, fresh mozzarella in marinara sauce, whole wheat bread w/ yogurt butter on it, dessert was a ms. field’s double chocolate chip cookie dipped in peanut butter and more milk.

i think i crushed your daily calorie intake right there.

You look great though and are going to kill!!!

You should see my stomach it is so bloated, if i post a picture it will motivate you to keep to your diet.

Cheers-

That was an evil evil evil post…

not intended to be too evil, shit stu looks cut out of stone right now.

Awesome thread - looking awesome Stu !!!

As far as the trunks go, I went with the velvet material last year I just couldn’t get comfortable in the other material…especially if you are moving around a lot in your night routine - I have heard some stories about “things” popping out - yikes!

Update for you folks

Down to 176 lbs today after breakfast (actually 174 before! -lol). Started noticing little changes just since last week,… some separation between the hams and glutes from the side, small amount of what I hope will be a full blown christmas tree in my lower back, and getting a little better flexing my hams from the side shots as well.

Trying to include some bigger pics this week, breaking the poses into a few shots.

And a few more

Your side chest and side tri look great. Your back double bi is sooo detailed, looks great. AND is that some feathering I’m seeing on your quads in the fron double bi pic? You keep gettin tighter.

Yeah, I thought I saw that too, but didn’t wanna jump the gun. Tonight was legs, and my back was hurting me all day. Managed to do a decent ham workout, but halfway through quads, my left hamstring and lower back started twinging,… so I decided to play things a little safe, and took it easy. Hopefully because my calves look okay, if any judges think my upper legs are below par, maybe they’ll think it’s just an illusion by comparison -lol

S

Obviously, I can’t predict how you’ll do because you never know who’ll show up. BUT, I think you’re going to do very well Stu. I doubt many will be able to beat you on your condition and you keep getting better at the poses. Don’t forget to practice the quarter turns!

First time I’ve read this thread, and to be honest I just rushed through and read only a few posts, but I have seen your development in fast pace and I have to say I’m very impressed. You’re in great shape, side chest and tri are absolute killers. I’ve got supreme confidence in you mate!

*The rear and side delt “pop” in your side chest is going to score you HUGE points with the judges, imo
*Naturals under 200 lbs should not have that much ham separation lol

If you hadn’t told us otherwise I’d easily put your weight in the high 190’s.

Thanks guys. You know, Very few people seem to believe me when I tell them that I’ve only been hitting my rear delts directly during the last few months because of my prep. I figure I’ve got years of Barbell rowing to thank for the nice little ‘pop’ I’ve got going on back there. The ham separation is surprising me too. I’ve been hitting hams pretty hard the last few months, and always starting with stiff leg deads, hoping that the deep stretch will make the exercises I do afterward more effective (myostatic reflex in action here!)

I’m having a difficult time believing my own weight when I look at those pics, but if it makes you feel any better, when fully clothed I think I look like crap -lol

great delts stu, and great conditioning. you are going to be peeled come contest time

wow…

thats it… wow!
