Coronavirus - What Happened?

That is absolutely irresponsible. If there is any justice, he will catch the virus himself and end up on a ventilator.

Sometimes something is not better than nothing, especially when that something can accumulate and transmit bacteria and disease, harm or kill already critical patients.

Prove that it works as well and as safely as a real ventilator and that’s great, But it looks like something a 10 year old threw together for the science fair.

Engineering is hard. Gov. Coumo is smart to not throw money around like a drunk at strip club. There are plenty of companies who’s ears perked up when the Pres. started talking billion dollar Gov. money. Not all of them are worth it.

If someone rolled one of those in on me I’d be more than tempted to take my chances with the morphine and the nurse with big titties.

I hear mouth to mouth is way more enjoyable way to breathe…

too bad you’ll have the virus and she’ll be in protective gear

If you hook it up to a screen on wheels it would look a lot like other ventilators. Ever seen one?

About 8 months ago when I spent 4 days in a cardiac ICU.

There’s a nurse/fitness model/complete bombshell from the nicu at children’s I knew from growing up.

If she doesn’t make your pulse race, you’re a gonner. :bikini:

Does Cuomo even have the power to approve medical equipment? Should he even have that power?

Did you see what the actual ventilator itself looked like, without the exterior and screen? That thing you said looked like a science project looks like a ventilator. If it works then it should be put to use.

He certainly says he does. Out there telling the feds to ā€œchoose the 26k that are going to dieā€ because he doesn’t have the ventilators available. He has the power to give global foundries a 697 million dollar grant, but suddenly the red tape gets in the way now. Bullshit.

Should he have the power unilaterally? No. But generations have ceded it to the executive in NY and im sick of hearing him bitch when he’s just playing politics. It’s one party rule in this state. Rule by dictate.

No, I left it intact. Between the drugs and the big heart attack and failure I wasn’t feeling very mechanically inclined.

Maybe next time though, huh? If they don’t have to shock me back to life I’ll be sure to get right on that.

I’m with you on this one, dude. He’s had no problem speaking out about everything and hasn’t done a terrible job so far, so if this is posturing when lives are at stake, it’s just ridiculous. If there’s anything he can say or do to make more ventilators appear when people need them, he needs to do it.

I don’t know anything about the nature of said ventilators, though. Just commenting on the face value of this.

So you have no basis on which to criticize the machines turned down by Cuomo because you have no idea what it even looks like. Glad we got that sorted out.

And You think wheels and a screen make it a ventilator!

:joy:

There’s no shame in ducking out on this man. I get that you’re butthurt. No need to continue spanking yourself.

Do you even know if those ventilators work?

But that’s not what happened. They weren’t turned down at all.

That’s nice. But how’s the stock market?

If it’s as dire a situation as they’re making it out to be, then a detailed rejection of said ventilators and their effectiveness should be reached quickly and publicly. It can’t be apocalypse and bearocracy simultaneously. Otherwise he needs to get off the soapbox.

Did you even read the article, or just look at the pictures and say ā€œclose enough for me!ā€

And

They actually tell us it’s a piece of shit themselves.

I told you your son could start making them in the garage. He could sell two or three and have enough to pay for college.
