Right now we don’t have enough information to make an informed decision with regards to that, so the least we can do is try to minimize the infection rate. But we need to figure this out soon.

Thing is, it’s always more complicated to think through it than to just point fingers and say “Somebody needs to do something about that!”.

It would seem to me that we are looking at some things the wrong way. I don’t think temporary high unemployment is going to lead to a massive crime increase or gun toting revolt.
But I just read (been working and actually not watching it though I started Tiger King!) that Netflix was experiencing outages. If Netflix, Hulu, PlayStation, Youtube fail we won’t stay inside anymore. That’s when the crime and unemployment goes up. Airlines might need a bailout and certain industries may need more help than others.
Right now streaming networks, video games, and internet entertainment are the most vital things for our national security. This shit goes out and you expect people to stay in and hang with their family or read books? That’s when the downfall happens. Americans will not stand for that shit.

I described it pretty accurately in the other thread, but an ICU is a bridge between life and death. You’re somewhere on it. You go one way or the other, and that’s that.
Pretty nurses and dumb jokes do help though.
I suggest we all stay the fuck to ourselves for a good long while.

So in NY we have a local company that says they can make 100 ventilators a day and Cuomo is refusing to buy them. He want the feds to pick up the tab. “Waiting for state approval” for a week now.
