Game changing if true. If 50% of the U.K. already had it, then there’s a serious chance that we are blowing this out of proportion.
Obama and Trump give a joint speech asking Americans to do it and we’re probably closer to 99%. Especially if we guarantee nothing changes to electricity and high speed internet.
All I can see is the headline, but it makes me wonder because back in December I had a fever and respiratory infection that put me out of commission for two days. Same symptoms, if it happened right now I would assume it was the coronavirus. I read some similar things recently too, that this virus might have been going around since the fall.
I was at a grocery store and some guy in another lineup was coughing his lungs out, I remember thinking that I hope I don’t catch it. About 4-5 days later it hit me.
Paywall but agreed with the general point if true. Are we even in a different spot though right now with where current numbers are in many countries? I would think so if nothing else from a purely time standpoint to get hospitals through the current stretch.
I still think true or not at least in the US this won’t last real long. I’d bet a lot of money on very few places being in shelter in place this time two months from now.
My guess would be May 10 the vast majority of America is rolling as normal. If this is anything though it’s unpredictable. Just would surprise me if not. For something to us to be shelter in place long it’s going to need a good amount of deaths and undeniably high amount of number of current cases.

I had a week long dry cough and intermittent fevers which I put down to the flu, perhaps we’ve already had a great deal of people get it and walk it off? No way to know until we get the antibody testing rolled out.

Seeing as they can barely test anyone for the virus itself, I don’t think this will go far.
It’ll need to roar exceptionally to deal with the damage tbh. We haven’t even had time to see where the dust will settle yet.

So they didn’t have one, but we have other U.K. papers reporting on it. I’ll see if the Telegraph have covered it, as I do hold a subscription to the one worthwhile paper of record.
