The shortage happened because of H1N1. Obama didn’t replenish the masks as recommended. Had 7 years to do so.
So… If there was a two month window + to take action, why didn’t the Trump Administration import more masks… As a matter of fact why didn’t he do so within the three years of his presidency prior to this catastrophe.

Why does he seem more focused on his prospects of re election than he does the health of the American citizens, why has he continually made false and/or misleading statements about the virus… Why did he entirely botch his oval office speech to the point wherein numerous other federal officials had to step in
Why is it the CDC had to clarify they wish to give out truthful information to the public without “antagonising the president”
Some people don’t realize when they resort to ad hominem attacks they demonstrate the inability to logically refute a point or the inability to concede a truth due to idealogical adherence.

Perhaps for the same or similar reasons Obama didn’t. Judging by all the pork attempted to be attached to the relief bill it should come as no surprise your welfare is not a great concern to the government except during an election cycle.
I saw something yesterday about the Dallas cops no longer responding to calls about theft. Plus you have prisoners being let out in various places, they are talking about doing that here. It’s no wonder guns are selling so fast.
That’s a very enlightened way to describe Trump. Maybe we have reached some common ground.

I don’t think the right answer to public hysteria is to stock up on guns… I think a lot of people are going to die if this behavior continues, furthermore it’ll probably be unwarranted/preventable deaths (Joe shoots Jill in the wine aisle of X store over the last bottle of Chardonnay)
That’s what’s happening here (without the guns)… It’s on video, two guys get into a fight in the wine aisle, they broke the bottles one each other… Both left the store afflicted with several lacerations.
It is absolutely insane to think people might start shooting each other en masse, or to think that people are going to resort to savage attacks over toilet paper, wine, common household items (though alcohol is a drug heavily prone to abuse… I know plenty of adults who would have stocked up on booze prior to this…)
Why didn’t Trump replenish them in the years he’s been in charge? Wouldn’t 3 years have been plenty of time to correct his predecessors mistake?
I don’t think anyone should argue that previous presidents could have helped the situation be more prepared, but the list of trumps failures on this is pretty damn long. Although I get that his supporters (like him) would refuse to acknowledge that. They will be too busy making excuses and blaming others.

I’m afraid in your rush to defend your hero you missed the part where I stated Trump didn’t properly prepare enough masks likely for the same reasons Obama didn’t. I will further proposition that Obama actually holds more responsibility for the lack of masks since the supply was depleted early in his presidency and never refilled.
I don’t hate them. I hate hypocrisy, childish behavior from the President, and the absolute inability of him or people who support him to even acknowledge they may have made a mistake.
Pretty big difference between criticism and hatred. I have more friends who voted for Trump than I do that voted for Obama or
Clinton by far.

Statistically the majority of Americans disapprove of Trump (majority being over 50%). It’s not troubling at all. I have a million legitimate reasons as to why I dislike Trump that most supporters would dismiss and most who disapprove of him would agree with

I caught that, it doesn’t change my thinking. If you’ve been President for 3 years and it’s an easy thing like that I’m not sure the previous person is the sole person to blame. At what point does one not just say “my predecessor messed up?” As if they have zero power to correct mistakes.
I’ve seen plenty of supporters of his call him out on certain issues. Surely you have, too ? I didn’t vote for him. But I will this next time as the left can’t seem to find a candidate that doesn’t make me reach for a vomit bag.

If we also look at his approval ratings amongst Democrats, Republicans and independents, statistically weigh out that average more than 50% disapprove
Furthermore, Trump didn’t even win by popular vote … A president can win with the majority disapproving.

Aside from his prior scams/scandals (Trump university, vitamin company, the 23 women who have accused him of rape/sexual misconduct…) He doesn’t have the moral fibre I’d think the president of the United States should have, nor does he act in a way that I would consider presidential.
Many other reasons come to mind, esp considering my political ideologies don’t like up with his. Esp regarding climate change… He’s a businessman in my opinion and nothing more… Not a caring presidential candidate.

Honestly no. At least not in a consistent manner. I know it happens from some but it seems very small amount. Has he ever said he messed anything up himself? Wouldn’t you say his default mode when criticized is to attack the person directly? And if that isn’t happening to immediately blame someone else?
I said that in my first post about previous presidents. If that happened on Obama’s watch no doubt he deserves blame.
