Earlier on in this debacle I had a similar thought:
“What if the government is trying to see just how much bullshit we (the citizens) are willing to put up with”. That thought has never really left.
The better protection the vaccine provides, the less the need for everyone to get it. If it was full proof, then everyone who wanted protection just needed to worry about themselves.
But it’s not full proof. At all. So we need everyone mitigating the risk to protect the tens of millions of vulnerable people. And, it’s easy to mitigate the risk.
It’s a social contract. We enjoy some protections, but give up some freedoms in exchange.
You’re constantly using “we” and starting discussions about the supposedly dystopian vaccine mandate in a country five thousand miles away. Why do you care about whether the Americans vaccinate themselves or die from all that sweet freedom?
You’re living in an Eastern European bastion of freedom where people get do die from Covid unmolested without the intervention of an evil government. You should consider yourself extremely fortunate that you can freely get the virus and stop worrying about the allegedly looming communist dictatorship in the US.
Agree. Anybody who wants a COVID vaccine right now can get one so the vast majority of people getting very ill or dying from the virus are Darwin award winners. I know this sounds callous but you can’t fix stupid.

I think there is a large misunderstanding in this thread about the terms “vaccine” and “immunity”.
A Vaccine, traditionally speaking, will infect you with a dead - or massively weakened virus so that your body’s own immune system has a better chance at fighting it off. In the process of fighting off the already diminished virus, your body creates antibodies; these will either outright prevent you from getting this virus again, or at least significantly lessen the impact if you get it again. This is precisely how flu shots work, and the reason why 30-40% of people feel a bit sick after getting it is because you quite literally just injected yourself with a virus.
Immunity is exactly what it sounds like. YOU’RE FUCKING IMMUNE. It means the virus cannot do anything to you and cannot reinfect you.
The “Covid Vaccine” is NOT a vaccine. It is a mRNA shot that cuts into and alters your DNA, and by extension, your immune system to better respond to viruses along the lines of C19. This has potential long-standing effects that simply cannot be understood until such time has passed. Moreover, we cannot understand the effect these DNA alterations will have on the next generation - considering these traits become dominant and are passed down.
The worst survival rate is for those over 70 years old, and those who would otherwise already have struggled to make it through a bad case of the flu. Rona doesn’t play around, and if you were already compromised - you have good reason to be extra cautious. But for those of us that are already healthy and under the age of 70, there is extremely little reason to be concerned. Just do what is best for you, and let other people live their lives. I’ve been ready for “normal” to come back since April 2020
