SAGE is the English science advisory group to our government. Boris tried to subvert them by putting Dominic Cummings on the group and then say theyâre taking SAGe advice. DC was taken off the group in the summer. Since then SAGE will say thereâs a problem, Boris will ignore it for weeks due to optics. The problem doesnât go away and he reacts. The reaction is much bigger because the problem is now much bigger.
Weâve got a new strain of covid which is more contagious, 70% more. However, we have no idea if itâs more or less dangerous or if the vaccine works.

Just saw a special on the 1918 Influenza Pandemic.

Yeah, we all know this but⊠this Covid is killing a lot more people than normal cold and flu. We all know this as well. Iâm guessing at this point that no amount of excess deaths will convince you of wearing a mask and other slightly inconvenient behaviour changes. Or have I misunderstood your comments? Itâs hard to get a read in a couple of posts.
