I’m hoping Trump takes full credit for this. Would go a long ways towards his supporters taking it. It’s a lie I wouldn’t mind! Trump can say he made it himself for all I care.
A vaccine no one takes isn’t going to be very effective. But Dems also have their share of non vaccine people.

Yeah, I wrote that as part of a larger point. Just imagine how seriously they take it IN China lol. That’s why I believe their numbers at the moment even though I’m always wary of what the CCP claims.
So, if something can be implemented like what they did in major cities other than Wuhan, the virus CAN be contained. It’s not impossible. They did it in 2 months. The lockdowns in places other than Wuhan were more like New Zealand’s.

Much worse than what COVID did to me and the other 86% of “cases”. We will see how safe it is though, all the other seemingly promising vaccines had severe side effects in some people.

The problem over here is that they have been half stepping from the start and only succeeded in destroying the economy. I don’t like the Chinese government but I have to admit that they are smart and efficient, the assholes running the west are not.
The reason why I keep bringing up New Zealand is because they’re mostly Europeans and are a Commonwealth Nation and have a similar parliamentary system like Canada. You don’t have to follow China, just New Zealand. A 38 year old hot chick can handle it lol.
I think y’all gotta pressure the government to either do it like them or don’t even do it at all. I know Canda is much larger but this can be handled by individual states.
Countries with lack of law enforcement use public servants formerly doing stuff like admin duties and give them temporary powers to hand out fines to people breaking the rules. They also deploy active army personnel wearing their non-combat uniforms so they don’t look intimidating for extra manpower. This shit can be done if the government want to.
There seems to be no desire from anyone to do it that way, for better or worse. With the current situation it seems like just letting it spread while protecting at-risk groups is the best way to handle it. We missed the boat back in March.

He’s casting doubt on the FDA and CDC while it’s a non-Biden admin for one. I think some of his fears are justified (even if I think he’s a total twat) but his comments of concern regarding the safety assessment coming from the CDC and FDA are the type of shit people would burn Trump in effigy for.
Also saying it is ‘bad news’ when it is unnalloyed good news is certainly not artful.
All this aside, I can’t be the only one thinking that Trump would have liked this announcement prior to voting day

If operation warp speed got a vaccine with a 90% efficacy, that is safe (which is still being assessed), in record time and prepared millions of doses for the spring, that’s a helluva parting shot from the outgoing admin.

As soon as the vaccine is rolled out (which I will not be taking unless employer-mandated, FYI), Democrats will NO DOUBT take 110% credit for its success despite Trump and Operation Warp Speed. Furthermore, as soon as COVID is under control to a great degree, the economy will bounce back strong, and Biden will take all the credit. It’s truly amazing how the Democrats function.
I wouldn’t be so sure of that tbh. Many businesses are fully gone. A vaccine would potentially avoid a depression, but the economy is not in stupendous shape.

This is one reason why China is surpassing the US in numerous ways, no bickering over partisan politics and just focus on getting things done. Anyone who disagrees gets sent to a camp and has their organs harvested if they don’t shape up.
