Coronavirus - What Happened?

Stop being hypocrites.

We ALL want and need money and relief.

Now you really have confused me.

What does this mean, in this situation?

I’ve pointed it out as clearly as I can, @NickViar.

I don’t have anything else.

Yeah, but the majority of this number is just zeros. And the one real number it does use is only 3.

The Democrats wrote a bill that they are calling the HEROS act that calls for $3T in spending. They did not include any Republicans in the formulation of the bill. It is 100% authored by House Democrats. It’s not a partisan jab it’s just what happened.

It’s all 1 and 0 anyway…

We’re gonna bail out the postal service, though hell ya!

And???

When the GOP gets up on the floor and says ā€œI don’t want the GOP or any true Conservative to vote for, recieve or touch one red cent of this Bill if it passes!ā€ā€¦and they DON’T…

Then I’m with you 3,000,000,000,000%, @anon50325502.

Otherwise, it’s all a bunch of lip-flapping.

And that means Dems want to spend $3T… You’re reading way to much into my initial post, man…

I’m honestly not aware of the timeline for detectability, though I’m sure that’s got to be described somewhere. I think the concept should be obvious though. Certain Asian countries are already using testing this way, as they have more availability for said tests.

Not that anyone seems to care, but $5T is greater than every countries GDP except us and China.

Oh…I care about the debt we are racking up, @usmccds423…and made that point in my original reply.

That’s what I figured you meant, and it’s idiotic. Now, if they vote for it in exchange for goodies, that would be hypocritical. Taking everything you can get from something you oppose and vote against is not hypocritical

You’re damn right. #muricarules
#suckourspending

???

Oh my hell…now I’ve heard it all.

I give up.

Everyone in Congress should be trying to earmark as much as possible for his own constituents. Then, they should vote against the spending. That goes for all spending.

How can you possibly view ā€œI dislike that you’re taking my money and using it this way, so I refuse to try to get my money back or influence its useā€ as the non-hypocritical position?

I’M CALLING A TIME-OUT.

We need to set some ground rules for this thread if we’re to hit the 4k mark with anything to show for it.

It is obvious that some kind of penance is required before we state an opinion. I’m not sure why, but this seems to be a trend among the exchanges I’ve participated in.

Let’s say I don’t like the bill being proposed by Democrats right now. I can explain the reasons why in detail, and I’m ready to spend at least 20 minutes typing this out over the course of a normal morning. Typical twojarslave kinda stuff.

What is the appropriate amount of time to dedicate to the necessary penance if I’m to get my core point across? I can go all the way back to the Clinton or even Bush administration, if needed. Just tell me what sort of things I should be acknowledging with regards to Republican misbehavior before I can credibly opine on current events.

This seems to be the game we play so often, so why not agree on the rules for once?

I have only one, @twojarslave:

Stop this:

noun

" The practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform; pretense"

I thought I asked a fair question, but I understand that you prefer to stick to broad narratives.
