Coronavirus - What Happened?

And the fat guys with beards who want to cosplay Special Forces.

I quietly take it off as soon as the plane slows down on the runway. I know they will make an announcement saying when to take it off, but I just feel on this one I can think for myself.

What others? Someone like that has no others in his life.

It’s like the epitome of a first world problem. Sure we have a highly contagious virus running across the country, but i want everyone to recognize that standing back a bit in line or throwing a mask on to go into that store as they asked is a huge inconvenience for me. And I will loudly proclaim it as so.

I suppose when the country decided to elect a child as President we shouldn’t be surprised when a lot of the country behaves like children themselves.

Dems want to spend another $3,000,000,000,000.

I’m confident both sides will come together and make sure the bill only marginally benefits those who need it while providing massive benefits for those who don’t. Hopefully without the potential for any strings attached for the wealthiest companies and people.

And then even if not involved in the process the President can say ā€œI did this no one else helped me.ā€

Come on Congress don’t let me down here. You got this! Give him a piece of paper and a pen and tell him to autograph something. You know he won’t read it!

For the Lockdown Lovers, this is called The Law of Unintended Consequences:

Stay Home!!! Shelter in Place!!! It’s dangerous out there!!!

This is one of the single biggest issues we have, and we need to solve it fast. It drives me up a wall - you know a bunch of people were exposed but nah…no need for tests we’ll just hire some OTHER cleaning team to come in.

You want to reopen the economy back to as close to normal as we can get? Have a shitload of rapid test kits EVERYWHERE and get everyone who was exposed tested immediately after they’re known to have interacted with a positive case.

Trump and the GOP pass tax cut costing $2,300,000,000,000 - who cares, it’s on the nation’s credit card and deficits are meaningless.

Democrats want to spend $3 trillion on pandemic relief - and were concerned about spending and deficits again?

Correct. A private business should be allowed to deny service to anyone for any reason. You do not have a right to someone else’s goods or services.

In your dreams maybe.

C’mon man, you objected to the price tag, not what’s in it. If we can afford the tax cut, we can afford this relief package, right?

I’m probably across the aisle from @anon50325502 on the political spectrum, but is there an unlimited amount of money we can spend at this point? IMO, his criticism of throwing more money at a more-fixable situation, and his ridicule of the notion of ā€˜pandemic’ bills that throw shiny checks at the American people while letting corporations run wild is valid, and worth discussing. Not trying to come at you, I just don’t think what-abouting this criticism is conducive to a discussion. Heard a loooooooot of what-abouting from a certain guy’s fans these past few years.

It’s the largest spending bill in U.S. history, we have to issue a record amount of debt to cover it, we both know it isn’t just for coronavirus relief, and it’s on top of a $2T relief bill.

$5T in 3-months, I would think everyone would be concerned.

That depends upon the time and place, for most.

I’m with you, @usmccds423…we all should be concerned…

But don’t say: ā€œDEMS want to spendā€¦ā€ when GOP House and Senate Members…along with red-State Governors and their Conservative populace…will be waiting at the trough for their corn and slop like everyone else.

Do we even know how long it would take to test positive after exposure? Just wondering.

In your opinion, what should they do?

It’s not a D vs. R thing. Dems wrote the bill without input from a single Republican. So, ya, Dems want to spend an additional $3T.

Republicans are just as bad.
