Isn’t this board all about illegal drugs? What is the difference between me spraying on androstendione or Nandrolone? It’s just politics and cops are just pawns in the game. The sad thing to me is that the issue is not whether drugs are bad for you or not. The issue is freedom. How much are you willing to give up?
MooCow you really got think about the shit you say. Of course I hate judges! Judges are just good lawyers. What does it take to be a good lawyer? What makes a judge worse than most is that they have the intelligence to see how fucked up the laws are, yet they just keep on working the system to suit them. Connosiur said it best when he said 70% of the people in jail are non-violent drug offenders. Why in the fuck do you think I should go to jail for my use of Testosterone? I am with Cock Mongrel when he talks about Jesus saying pay attention to the spirit of the law not the letter of the law. I am not out trying to get 15 year olds hooked on test. I know more about this shit than any doctor I have ever seen and I need their permission do put something in my body. I just thought of something else…In MT there is no speed limit right? It is up to the cop as to what is safe and what is not. Demo Pig, I am glad I don’t live in MT. And I am really glad I am not in your family. And I bet you really suck as a RA.
I tried (man did I ever try…) to let this post slip off the forum, but evidently D_END is glutton for intellectual punishment. Here we go again (sigh)…a point by point refutation of D_END’s post, which he won’t be able to argue with. I only have the energy to go after the ones directed at me, though. And I’m not being nice anymore.
“I just thought of something else...In MT there is no speed limit right?”
No, the State Legislature enacted a numerical limit years ago. The breadth and depth of your ignorance doesn’t really surprise me, though. The fact that you manage to tie your shoes in the morning without strangling yourself, does.
“Demo Pig, I am glad I don't live in MT.”
Please, remember this for the rest of your life. Don’t even visit. Drive AROUND the state if you can.
“And I am really glad I am not in your family.”
That makes two of us. Anyway, even if you HAD been born with opposable thumbs, you wouldn’t have been in my family for long. The Old Man would have beaten you to death with a tire iron the first time you opened your pie-hole.
“And I bet you really suck as a RA.”
I’m literally LAUGHING as I write this. Coming up with this little gem in a spoken conversation is embarrassing enough, but this is IN PRINT. You had all fucking day...ALL DAY to come up with a flame and THIS is the best you could do? Wow. Unbelievable. Guess you showed me, didn’t you? Keep ‘em coming Cap’n Dipshit...this is fun!
You up for a game of “keep away” with D_END’s argument? Wait, shit, I forgot…he doesn’t have one…BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
Is there any crime in Montana? I love the state. I drove from Glacier National Park to Yellowstone in 4.5 hours and just made dinner right outside of Bozeman. Hell, I made it from Atlanta to Bozeman in 33 hrs strait! that was a hell of a ride. I did not see one cop in the entire trek. Shit I only saw two cops in West Yellowstone and both were parked at the police station. If there is a state free of police harrasment I would have to say it’s Montana. I love it out there. Good luck dude. I don’t personally support your decision, because I would rather be gored in the ass by a Water buffalo than be a cop, but if you got to be one, I couldn’t think of a better place to be one.
O.k., guys and gals, I had to wade into this one.
For starters, I’m a 12 year veteran law enforcement veteran. I started as a patrolman, was promoted to Sgt., and then to 2nd in command of my department. I’m also Demo Dick’s brother.
In my 12 years of wearing a badge, I have NEVER, taken a gratuity. If the business said, “It’s on the house, I left the money on the table for the meal (plus a tip). I have never “flashed” my badge hoping to get preferential treatment. As a matter of fact, my badge is a symbol of honor for me. I worked hard to get it, and I walk the walk, not just talk the talk. I don’t drink and drive, I don’t use drugs, I don’t beat my wife, I provide for my kid, I pay my bills, I help my neighbors, in short, I do unto others. I return the same level of respect that I am shown. Yes, I have had to knock a few people’s dicks in the dirt. I will not apologize for it. In each case, they were trying to do the same to me.
I have participated in I.A. investigations (Internal Affairs), testifying against rogue officers. We have run dishonest cops off the force by doing this, and we are all the better for it. No, the other officers didn’t think me a “narc” for doing it, because WE ALL TESTIFIED AGAINST HIM and were happy to see him go.
I have had to eat a lot of shit over the years when I had to let a bad guy “walk” because of lack of evidence. Could I have planted some? Sure. But I refuse to diminish myself and my profession by doing so.
Are there “bad” cops out there? You bet. They should be rooted out, canned and prosecuted like any other criminal. Do I make excuses for rogue officers? No way. I don’t give a shit how much “bad stuff” you have seen in your life, that’s no excuse for screwing the pooch. In my career, I have seen things that would give you nightmares for the rest of your life. But I don’t use that as an excuse for anything. I knew going into this job that I was going to see and have to deal with the unsavory side of life.
I think that cops that use ANY illegal drug should be canned, prosecuted and thrown into the butt-hut to play with those they arrested for the same thing. To the cop-wannabe’s in the article about using ‘roids, claiming that it was o.k., choose another profession. I don’t want you in mine.
Dirty Huey, you have my deepest sympathies. Just remember, we all have our crosses to bear in life. Your’s just happens to be your little brother and is a heavier cross than most. LOL. Hey Demo, I’ve been meaning to ask you, what’s an RA?
i rethought this a bit. first “There is no such thing as a truly victimless crime. This is Sociology 101 stuff” is clearly wrong. A Government can deem anything it wants to be criminal whethere or not it has a victim. Read 1984, look at someone who is busted for possesing marijuana (lots of it even). Second based on lots of things i have read and seen, you got to look at this from an illusion vs. reality standpoint. Cops using gear really breaks up the illusion of Law enforcement and all of its ideals. I think it is an unfortunate part of the reality of Law enforcement. did anyone here see Training Day? WHile most cases are not as extreme i would wager many similar types of tactics shown in it are part of “the game” of law enforcement. Most of the time it goes unnoticed and people only see the illusion (like the news report after Washington dies). If someone is truthful or F----s up real bad, or someone is out to bust them, then the illusion cracks. This can be applied to politics, the Olympics, etc
I will repeat…Why the fuck do you think I should go to jail for using testosterone? When you become a cop it will be your duty to arrest me for possesion of an illegal substance. Just wait til you catch a buddy of yours with a joint or a couple of sustenon. That is wear your corruption wil start. Surely you will not hall your friend off to jail just because he left a sustenon ampule out by accident. Or maybe you will, but if you don’t I was right and if you do, I was right… Thankfully you are in MT and if we are all lucky you will be run over by a semi on some routine traffic stop. All this heavy shit we talk about you just sluff off but the reality of it is you will put your life on the line everyday. And for what??? To give a guy a ticket for going 100 miles per hour out in the sticks. There is no one else on the road up there who would be endangered besides the one driving? We will ask your wife and kids in a couple of years if what daddy does makes them feel safe…
Oh and Demo Pig…You are the definition of “Holier than thou.”
My point was that the idea of “victimless crimes”, or more accurately crimes without victims, is far too complex to simply throw around without at least a cursory understanding of the ENTIRE criminal justice system. Too often people cry “But it’s a victimless crime!!” when they get popped for something. Its not as simple as “the government can do anything they want.” We have checks and balances, and it is our civic responsibility to be ever watchful to make sure that they are honored.
“A Government can deem anything it wants to be criminal whethere or not it has a victim.”
WE are the government. WE hire them, and WE pay their salaries. Understanding this is the first step in seeing why the above statement is false. If the consensus of the people is that a law is “bad”, then the people can challenge and change it by electing different minded representatives. It’s a circular process, with a high degree of “civilian ownership”, if you will, and that is its beauty.
“I will repeat…Why the fuck do you think I should go to jail for using testosterone?”
An I will repeat to YOU, you fucking DOLT, that I NEVER said you “should” or “should not” go to jail for anything! What I said was that it is NOT the job of law enforcement to MAKE or INTERPRET the laws; they enforce them, and thus MUST obey them or find a new line of work. If you can’t get that through your skull, then there is no point in discussing it any further.
“Just wait til you catch a buddy of yours with a joint or a couple of sustenon. That is wear your corruption wil start.”
No, that’s where my “buddy” goes to jail. Think me an asshole for that? Fine. That’s why I’m pretty fucking selective about who gets to be my “buddy”. I don’t want to put either of us in that position. An ethical cop has to make that decision. And that ain’t the toughest one I’ll have to make; I’m aware of that.
“Thankfully you are in MT and if we are all lucky you will be run over by a semi on some routine traffic stop.”
You know where I live, Tulip. Where, exactly do YOU live? What’s wrong, don’t want to share that info? I wonder why not...perhaps you aren’t as tough as you think? Flare your tail feathers all you want. You have yet to look me in the eye and wish me dead.
“All this heavy shit we talk about you just sluff off but the reality of it is you will put your life on the line everyday.”
It’s “slough”, which you would know if you paid more attention in college, instead of banging heads on the field and toking up in your dorm room (before anyone flames me, do a search for lunchbox’s posts). I know I’ll put my life on the line every day, as do all cops. Twenty years, numbnuts, twenty years...
“To give a guy a ticket for going 100 miles per hour out in the sticks. There is no one else on the road up there who would be endangered besides the one driving?”
Is that a question or a statement? It ends in a question mark but is written in a non-inquisitive manner. I’ll do my best to answer it. You really think that that’s all that cops do? Write tickets? Maybe you don’t have the intestinal fortitude to stand up for sexually abused children, physically abused wives, or anyone else who is weak and victimized. That’s one of the reasons why you’d be a shitty cop. ONE of the reasons.
“Oh and Demo Pig...You are the definition of ‘Holier than thou.’”
Thanks D_END, at this point it should be obvious that your opinion of me means a lot. No, it really does...
(1) The cross Dirty Huey bears is no greater than the one I bear. Imagine, if you will, a brother who has fifteen years on you. People ask if we fought a lot when we were kids…uhh, no, he had a “slight” size advantage.
(2) RA is short for Resident Advisor or Resident Assistant. I was one when I was in college, but I done gradutated. ![]()
Demo Dick
“Maybe you don’t have the intestinal fortitude to stand up for sexually abused children, physically abused wives, or anyone else who is weak and victimized.” But don’t you see demo, their drugs are more important than those things. To hell with a molested child or nearly beaten to death wife. As long as drugs are illegal they don’t give a damn about the above. They could care less if there were any cops to help those people if it meant they could then sell or buy their drugs. And that is exactly how they feel. They can’t get it their heads that in order to be a cop and help those mentioned above you must carry out the rest of the duties you are charged with. It has nothing to do with personal opinions. “Hey a little girl might need someone to arrest her abusive father…ahhh fuck it, as long as I can get swole and toke up!”
Okay Demo. “the Lord hates those that sit on the fence.” You most certainly do not sit on the fence. Neither do I. If I must have it. I would rather have it like that. It is just a crying shame that you won’t be able to spend all of your time as a cop going after wife beaters, child molesters and the like. If that were the case, guys like me and you would be BBQ’n arguing about football teams instead of this shit.
I live in So. Cal 5 miles from the beach. I went to college for two years in a state close to yours.
I do enough writing that requires my editing, so don’t hold your breath for me to run a spell check. This is all feestyle.
That should suffice. I like the anonimity the internet offers. This way we can test our ideas in the heat of the fire without getting burned.
If you ever come to Cali…Let me know. I can smoke a joint and take some deca right in front of you…I have a prescription from a physician for both. hahah:) I can hook you up with my doctors.
I am generally a law abiding citizen, I just break the laws I disagree with…Since I certainly did not vote the cock suckers in who made those laws that I don’t like. I figure if I ignore the law, it will go away.
yawn
damnit, demo The victimless crime thing gets tossed around alot and sometimes too often, but it is always applicable with drugs ALWAYS. The federall government although without the specific capabality of prohibition insists on prohibition anyway. Read the constitution, its not in there. Thomas Jefferson defines victimless crimes in “The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.” There you go. Someone possessing a crop or smoking it for that matter neither harms an uninvolved party legitimately physically or economically or puts that party at a great risk of either (cases could be made against heroin coke pcp, etc and maybe lsd however). WAKE UP
So, dman if were going to get constitutional, and since you sound well versed let me ask you a question. Would the supreme court not be the constitutional final say in our prescribed government to determine if something is constitutional or not? If so, has the prohibition against casual pot use and selling been challenged. It seems to me that it’s odd to call something unconstitutional if the constitutionally mandated power to determine such things determines it to be constitutional. And second, if you do legalize pot with the “my body” arguement you would have to be consistent. Wouldn’t you then have to legalize Heroin, insulin, Morphine, Crack, Meth, ecstasy, cocaine, etc.? Personally I don’t care myself. But, I would also use your arguement to claim that taxing for, medicare, welfare, social security, foodstamps, WIC, financial aid (school loans) and every other redistribution program must go. Which, I do believe by the way. After all, if only the individual is responsible for their own body then I’m not responsible for some welfare queen’s rugrats. After all, if we do agree to legalize and use rate does increase (I said if, not will) then not one tax dollar should be spent on a person’s body if he/she overdoses. Nor, should it be used to fund prevention or rehab. My money should not go to another person since we’ve agreed that everyone is responsible for their own body. Before anyone concludes I’ve changed my tune, I haven’t. I’ve never argued that drugs should or shouldn’t be illegal. Only that they are, and one should use legal means of changing things. Presently though, police officers are doing the exact job a police officer is charged with. And by saying noone should become a cop then you must accept that the far more important things (like rape cases) would not be handled. Look to the politicians if you need to vent. By the way not being arguemenative with you. I would like to see the above social programs go first. That way the druggie washouts won’t be leaching off me.
Agreed. Yawn.
the controlled substances act was enacted under among other things (fed control of indian and military land and international borders) to ban interstate sale of certain drugs. All states have laws banning possession and sale within the state. Where it gets interesting is if someone has a LOT of drugs and gets charged with a federall crime, but they didnt try to traffick accross state lines. The med. pot issue is probably the worst because while the federal Controlled substance act should be superior to state laws, in a federalist society such as ours (is puported to be) federall laws are only supreme where they are enacted under specifically enumerated powers. The power of prohibition nor control of INTRAstate commerce is not a specifically enumerated or implied power so the Controlled substance act atleast in theory should weild to state law in cases of med maryjane. I do somewhat concur about social programs though. in a free market society people should be allowed to fuck themselves up and be a burnout BUT this should put very minimal strain on productive citizens. We are babies today, wanting something for free, bein told what to do, irresponsible, etc.
