Cool Punching Power Analogy

But anyway if you want to see what I mean by “removing the faituge and explressing hte strength” you might thowin a short 2 week phas for your upper body something like this. The basic tenet is only explosive movmeents,…no “pump” movements or anything like that:
Session 1
Med ball throws
A1 Iso bench x 5-10 seconds
A2. smith machine bench throw x 15-20% x 5

B1 Iso pullup hold at midpointx 5-10 seconds
B2. Bodyweight pullup as many reps as possible in 5 seconds

Session 2:

push press 5 x 5, 4, 3, 2,
1med ball throws

clap pushpus S

See the idea? that’ll work good for about 2-3 weeks. You’ll fee more powerful, faster etc. But then after 2 weeks you’ll most likely start feeling sluggish as you begin losing size and max sternght. That’s why you restrict stuff like that for when you need to peak.-Kelly

Yeah this is common sense the same thing happened to the Pacman except he was using plyos. Still learning to box is better than lifting weights if you want to punch hard imo.

The secret is throwing punches with a horse shoe inside your glove that will increase your K.O. ratio over 9000% .

Completely agree with everyone here, nothing beats getting more proficient at the technique you want to develop, you just have to train her by itself.

Lol that’s not the point of what I posted though…for all the guys wanting to get a more powerful punch…for them to take THIS approach and STILL train their techniques and punches then this is the way to go if they are WEAK punchers I would say. I’m sure it’d benefit good punchers too. Besides I don’t even care how much someone practices their technique on the bag, in the mirror shadowboxing…AS SOON as you get in that ring to spar everything changes…I’d say it’s more important to have good timing to hit a guy with a clean shot even if it’s not extremely powerful to stun him for a second and then unload when chin is up and other openings.

End case is punchers are born, not made.

Boxing says different but whatever.

christ… automotive analogies doesnt count anymore ! it just shows that you arent craetive enough…

also… i doubt you can make that analogy anyway ? because you dont have time to get en perfect stance all the time in boxing !! you see an opening you punch…

What? I don’t get it.

The best punchers were not created with plyometrics max strength etc… They weren’t born either they were made in gyms where they learned how to box.

Boxing says different but whatever. Okay so there’s quite a few boxers who have boxed and are VERY GOOD at boxing but still lack a lot of KO power, and lots of them do not get KO’s in their fights.

So they definately learned how to box no doubt, are they punchers? NO

That’s why it’s punchers ARE born not made. The punchers that are born, man some of those guys who hit hard…hit hard their whole life…with no training experience they could/would KO people. Mike Tyson is a prime example of when he was young (i think around 12) he threw a punch and KO’ed the man cold…said he was convulsing like an infantile retard. Sure Mike learned how to box and whatever…but even if he never learned…he would still hit hard. In most cases, you either got it or you don’t.

What I posted before was just something to help you gain that power trait a bit more if you severly lack…and by the looks of this forum there has been many threads on how to increase punching power.
I wouldn’t really say boxing will increase your punching power, it says different. No…it’s what they learn which makes them easier to KO people if they have shit power…because if they don’t see where it’s coming from…or they know how to time it very well and they walk into a HUGE right hand, even if someone has bad power it will stun them for sure.

That’s what I’m trying to say lol…I think I’m done with this thread and power punching threads all together!!! lol

Deadlift builds ogre power for takedowns that’s for sure.
