Cooking With Flax is Bad?

I have read that cooking (in the oven or microwave) with ground flaxseeds is not good because it destroys the omega 3 good fats and turns them into transfatty acids… is there any truth to this?

Because A LOT of recipes call for cooking with ground flaxseed and I love it as a replacement for oatmeal/flour to lower the carbs…

Anyone have any insight?

dont heat it or any oil to its smoking point and you should be fine
