Okay, this is off topic, so if you’re one of those who constantly says,“Let’s keep this to lifting and supps”, then just scroll on. I participated in the Komen Seattle Race for the Cure this past weekend, a 5K run/walk (I ran, don’t ask about my time) to benefit breast cancer research and patient relief. How does terrorism connect? Well, because of the WTC disaster, three of the Komen events were cancelled – New York Chicago, and one other I can’t remember. The Seattle event raised over $1 million (less than last year, but then again a lot of money has been going to various funds associated with WTC victims). So, it’s imagineable that these other events would have made at least as much money for the Komen institute. That’s over $3 million. How many cancer patients will not get treatment, or how long have we put off finding a cure? Just one more log on the burning pyre of my wish for vengeance. Don’t expect a big discussion to spawn from this, just wanted to vent a little. Thanks.
