Continue Cutting or Start Bulking?

I like how this dude didn’t like what we told him so he went over to bb.com to ask for a second opinion.

Bro, me and a bunch of other dudes here CURL WHAT YOU WEIGH. Start eating.

I am currently 5’7 and 140 lbs. My goals are just go be as big and cut as I can be naturally. What weight do you think would be good as an initial bulk goal, before I would have to cut again?

As far as being cut vs. big goes, being cut is a little more important to me. Probably 70/30 with cut/being big, as far as how important each one is to me.

You’re my height, but I currently weigh 172lbs (as of this mornings weigh-in). I’m cutting for August (week 6 out of 12 now) and weighed around 190lbs when I started 6 weeks ago.

You’ve been cutting for an insane timeframe.

Also, when you come off a cut cycle and switch to a bulk cycle, you should notice some maximal gains in the first couple of weeks. Insane gains actually. For me, I’m really looking forward to it.

So basically you’re telling us you’re like a barbell for a warm-up set we could use for various exercises.

A pretty barbell at that.

what weight should be the lowest I bulk to before considering to cut again? Like 170?

I hope I’m not wasting my time by responding. Everyone’s going to have their own opinions as to when to bulk and when to cut, shit profx just recently decided to lean out a bit if im not mistaken and that was at around +250 lbs…you’re going to have to play it by ear. Keep in mind, when it comes to your body and building it, you’re the artist so build it however you want…but don’t expect guys who are dedicated at building large physiques to be impressed if you’re ripped at 140 lbs. If you’re 5’7’‘, I would get up to 185 lbs at least before leaning out again…some guys will tell you 200, but at 5’7’', 185 usually looks big. Either way, play it by ear.

How long should it take to get from 140 to 185 if you do it the right way and don’t just eat everything in sight?

I’m not going to spoon feed you. You’re going to have to do what most of us here have had to do and play around with trial and error and start reading on your own.
