Conjugate MMA

Thanks guys…Lifting is easy…Fighting is not.
I still lift heavy but i cut my volume WAY down to 1-2 dedicated lifting days…and use metabolic drills on 2 other days…even using advanced bodyweight drills for S/C when my system is fried …the rest of the time just drill and spar and stretch…you’ll feel 10 times stronger on the mat and you won’t get weird injuries…

i can’t have trashed hips from 12x3 of Box Squats and try to sprawl and shoot the next day…unless we all do this for a living this is just a hobby and is for our spirits and our minds more than anything…if i got paid to do this the rules would change.

This is why I’ve been saying for so long that bodybuilding and MA’s are not compatible.

It’s hard to get up to bench the day after you threw a thousand punches in an hour the day before, then jumped rope, then did a couple complexes.

If you’re working in plyometrics or medicine ball work, good luck trying to “get the pump” without busting yourself up.
