unfortunately, i hate to say this being a woman and all. But one “study” done i saw on tv(i think it may have been a local news station poll or something of the sort, but maybe not, this was awhile back) they dressed up one VERY good looking man & put him in a McDonalds uniform & an expensive business suit & took pictures… they mixed those two pictures up with a TON of other males pictures & showed them to ladies to rate their good looks.
In the end i think nobody even noticed the double shot, but the picture in the Business suit got almost double(if i remember correctly) the rating then he did in the McDonalds outfit.

Tony, I think you missed the point. You don’t have to spend money on the girl, you just have to appear to have money and you will get a lot of attention (and sex, if you want it).
We also need to make sure that we’re all talking about getting laid. Finding someone to have a healthy relationship is a completely different story.

OK, Im sorry for the outburst. I misunderstood. I agree, dressing well and appearing to have money does help you get laid. It occasionally works for me. I just hope the guys in this forum are intelligent enough not to spend money on women that they are just trying to screw. I know a lot of guys who meet a girl and within the first week are taking them to expensive restaurants and buying them expensive gifts. I think that is stupid. If your a good looking guy, you shouldnt have to spend money in order to get laid. All you ugly guys, well sorry, you might have to spend a little to get action.

No, Tony, I’m not rich at all. But it’s amazing what dressing a certain way, being with certain people, and driving a nice car will do. When I’ve been in situations where girls think I have money, somehow life gets much easier…
Also, if you observe the way most girls react to guys with money. Listen to how they talk in general. They want their offspring to be supported, and money is what does that today. So a lot of women will find you much more attractive if you have more money than average.
Money is one way to get laid. There are other ways which are almost as effective, though.
Im not rich but Im doing just fine in terms of getting laid. Like to dress nice too. Dont like cheap clothing. I think being good looking and having nice muscles turn women on just like large breasts and nice asses turn men on. I think more and more it seems like women are just as horny as men are. Many times it seems like women are tending to make the first move. Maybe because I dress well, they do think im rich. Ah well, whatever works. I do know I wont spend money on a ho, or a one night stand, Im too smart for that.

I was comparing Jared’s list to Patricia’s. I think women who you can get by treating them like shit (who are more immature and insecure) vastly outnumber the women who respond to being treated with respect. But I really don’t enjoy treating women like shit, and I have the suspicion that most women who like that aren’t the type I would want to be involved with anyway. I think I’d rather just be myself (which for me means not putting on a fake “asshole act” to get chicks), even though that means not getting laid as much as if I played it the other way.
Worse, the good ones are rightfully taken, therefore skewing the proportion of junk-out-there upwards when you do come back as a free agent. Good thing if you are patient.

I’m with bald scholar and MD on this one. We make generalizations, but the truth is you never know what might happen when the right two people get together. If you just want to get laid, then the cold-hearted selfish bastard approach is best. But if you can’t recognize a woman that deserves to be treated with respect and honor, she’ll be off like a prom dress. Real women know what they want and don’t need to play games. Just like it’s hard to find a good man, the good women are rare. So if you measure a person’s success by the number of sexual partners they’ve had, yeah, nice guys finish last.
The ladder theory holds water with immature insecure girls who care about the wrong things, ie money, cars, clothes, credit cards, etc. Most of us have been with people like this. Girls’ eyes light up with dollar signs when they find out I’ll be a doctor in less than two years. It’s the Golden Penis Syndrome. But if you let people who suck change you for the worse, you’re no better than them. People play games because they’re afraid of getting hurt. That’s a sign of weakness IMO. If you can’t grow up enough to leave your baggage at the door when you meet someone new, you’re wasting your time.
I once had a girl bail on me when she realized that even though I was only a few years older than her, I already had my fun playing the field and was in a place where I could get serious. She wasn’t. So she freaked out and tried to turn it around on me, saying that she played me/led me on. I just laughed at her and said, “if you wanted to break my heart, you should have got to me when I was 15.” I guess that ruined her sad attempt at boosting her ego, because now a few years later she’s calling me again telling me that she wants to marry a doctor. Silly girls.
