Conan the Barbarian

Since then I’ve wanted to be jacked and have long hair.

It seems you’re on your way to be jacked and with long hair. Good job!

For real. Solid actually became moreso.

Mad jealous of the hair, beard and shirt!

Not the pants?

I haven’t had an urge to walk out of a movie that strong since Jonah Hex. Jason Momoa had great screen presence but nothing to work with. Howard has probably crawled halfway out of his grave to seek vengeance by now.

I’m thinking the pic would be even better without the use of pants.

This is only true if you add a sword.

Let’s do this…

Really had high hopes for this one. Saw it last night and SPOILER ALERT - it was an absolute piece of shit /END SPOILER.

First 20 minutes were cool, the rest blew. I went into it with the same mindset as when I first saw “The Expendables” (which I loved)…enjoy the film for what it is and try not to read too much into it. Even so, it had too much CGI and not enough basic plot development.

(I will say though that Conan’s father was awesome. He played a very convincing role. I always forget his name…the guy who looks like he’s the love child of a human woman and coked-up sasquatch)

Ron Perlman? =P

Edit - just checked, yea that’s him.

Yeah…you know they picked Ron Perlman for the role of Vincent in Beauty and the Beast because the crew knew they’d save time in the make-up chair.

Hah aye, he’s an odd one is Perlman. Huge respect for the guy as I really like alot of his films (City of Lost Chidren remains one of my top 5 films) and I can remember his face from way back when I was a kid and saw Quest For Fire - again, a role he was probably given due to his stellar looks. ^^

A great voice too!

But… he looks stupid as hell in a bandana, a la Sons of Anarchy. Everytime I see him in it I just want to shake Sutter and ask him to stop making Ron wear those silly bandanas - he’s bad ass enough without the headgear! =P

Ouch beneath The Help and Spy Kids

He IS Hellboy for me.

Interesting Stan Lee is suing Conan producers

There won’t be any profits. It bombed badly.

Thanks for the praise gentlemen.

I thought the movie was excellent, and would love to see it again.

New Conan-inspired pics coming soon, as well as something else special…

no love for Kull the Conqueror?
