So ill try keep it brief. This isn’t a biography after all. Below are my best lifts at a bw of 188 approx 15% bf, January of 2012
Bench 120kg (1rm)
Overhead 70kg (1rm)
Squat 170kg x 2
Deadlift 185kg
Long story short, the next 8 or so months were rough. I was depressed. Didn’t train once and ate my way up to well over 30% bf.
In the winter of 2012 I contracted pancreatis though excessive alcohol consumption. I lost over 2 stone in 2 months through illness.
I came through in the end. Since then, I’ve eaten my weigh back upto approx 20% bf. trained once or twice max in over 18 months. I’m around 185-190. My body fat has fluctuated for the last few months.
So…I’m in a better place now. I’m looking to get back into it. I want to lower my body fat towards 10 and eventually single digit and regain the strength/muscle.
Yesterday I tested my 1rm
Bench - 80kg
Squat - 100kg
Deadlift 130kg
What’s the best way to go about getting into it? Will I be like a newbie? Can I regain the previously had strength quickly whilst dropping fat for a while?
