reads like there are a lot of DC fans out there.
So are you all finding DC edgier than Marvel?
I find DC has better written stories and plots…Marvel is trying though, especially in the last year.

What are the thoughts on the Death of Superman; World without Superman; Return of Superman series?
I read it back in the '90s; still have it around here, somewhere, in the graphic novel versions (as opposed to all of the individual comics that comprised the series).
Having been more of a Marvel fan than of DC, I still thought it was pretty interesting.

I didn’t have much access to comics where I come from. But I found a bunch of raggedy old ones in my uncle’s stuff and they became my most prized possessions.
Warlord was one of my favorites…I was drooling over Tara and Shakira before I even knew what sex was

Did anyone else ever read Backlash?
I did but his stories in stormwatch and team 7 were better.

Unless his sperm are like little bullets, I don’t think there would be a problem. Sperm exits the body at what, 30mph? Even at 100 mph, a viscous substance like that isn’t going to do any damage.
You ever been shot with a riot-hose?
LOL. Those Alabama protesters in the 50’s were just faking it. It was a hot day and the firefighters thought that they needed to cool off.

I still reread Kingdom Come either the comic or the novel adaptation once a year.
It’s a good book. The only thing I didn’t like was how they depicted the relationship between Superman and Wonderwoman. They never slept together. I can’t even imagine what type of kid that would produce.
They did have a kid…at the end of the book, she’s pregnant with Superman’s baby and Batman was the Godfather…DC did a horrible follow-up called Kingdom. Alex Ross protested against it and it bombed.
The Supes-WW baby deal wasn’t even in the end of the original 4-issue Kingdom Come series. It was added in the graphic novel, I guess before they launched the “Kingdoms” series. I didn’t even know that my graphic novel had that part until my girlfriend pointed it out to me. Stupid conclusion and the relationship itself was only mistake that Mark Waid made with that mini-series.

I have to give them credit for more than just trying. The Civil War series was about as unique as you can get and succeeded at getting people like me, those who didn’t really follow comics growing up, into reading and looking into graphic novels.
Other good ones are the Punisher graphic novels. Anytime someone gets their dick shot off and carries it back to the hideout in a paper cup in hopes it can be reattached later, I tend to accept that they have succeeded at truly mature material.

Agreed. It was a great story with suck ass ending. It sort of reminded me of those Scooby Doo cartoons where everyone laughs at the end of the show after they catch the guy in the mask.

Very true, a lot of what happened in that series led into the new crossover of the secret skrull invasion.
What were your thoughts on World War Hulk?
