In Crisis 89?(forgetting that exact crossover), Waverider is trying prevent Monarch form coming to be, he knows that it is a former hero, so he views the futures of the heros and that was Supes future. It took place in the annuals, originally it was supposed to be Captain Atom but they needed to change it to Hawk due to the story leaking

Unless his sperm are like little bullets, I don’t think there would be a problem. Sperm exits the body at what, 30mph? Even at 100 mph, a viscous substance like that isn’t going to do any damage.

You ever been shot with a riot-hose?[/quote]

now… I am kind of not surprised men may have considered the velocity of sperm

Okay, since the Super-sperm debate won’t die, let me throw some fuel on the fire.

And don’t make it suck as much as…every other movie you have made based off a comic.

Hellboy wasn’t that bad.

I enjoyed X-Men 1 and 2, 3 was big on fighting which was good but I hated the way the story went.

I thought Punisher with Thomas Jane was good. Punisher with Dolh Lungren…not so much.

Spiderman 1-3 I liked how they brought him to the big screen, if not for the terrible decisions made with the storyline in comparison to the comic.

Hulk - Didn’t like the first one but the 2nd one shows a lot of promise.

Blade - 1st one was great the last 2 were not.

Iron Man looks like it could be good.

What other Marvel movies am I missing here?

Both the first and second Blade movies were instant hits if not cult-like status. The last one just completely missed the mark.

I agree with you on everything else. X-Men 1&2 were done very well. The last one lost all focus and just threw random characters into the mix completely screwing any resemblance to what actually happened in the comics. I think that can be blamed on the change in directors.

I also HATED (in fact, hate is not a strong enough word) Superman.

Superman and Hulk left me so disappointed I am still deciding which one wins the prize for the worst comic movie ever made. With actors like Eric Bana and Jennifer Connelly as part of the cast you really need to suck to make the Hulk a bad movie.

Blade 2 was cool, things I disliked was the way they rationalized how Walker came back. I was sitting there like “WTF!!!” As well as the CGI was just not up to par of what you’d expect for a bigger budget movie, know what I mean? The action was awesome, the club scene was GREAT.

Yeah let’s not get started on Superman. I love comics, I love comic movies…but Superman…yikes.

I’d like to know more about this.

Who’s Bisley, what comic is this from, and is it widely available?

Thanks,

Daredevil & Elektra which were relatively putrid in their theatrical releases though the director’s cut of Daredevil was fairly passable.

No way, the post-Crisis retcon clearly says that Superman doesn’t develop his powers until his is leaving high school, since he needed at least that long to absorb enough energy from the sun for his powers to manifest.

So this would also hold true for any of his progeny…? But still, you gotta wonder, any woman that comes in contact with Superman’s love-gun is gonna have some worries. It’s not going to be a magic-carpet ride…

Christ on cracker! People, this is a no-brainer.

During the late 80’s they touched on upon this subject, basically Lois was killed by Clark Jr when he kicked her in the womb, this leads him to leave earth and live with Maxima.

Do you think this is what Superman Returns was referencing with the “superman Jr.” in the movie?

Superman Returns makes more sense when watched with the Donner cut of Superman 2, where he loses has his powers removed by Brando and they spend the night together. What sucks now is that they’ve had to retcon a kid into the current Superman titles, see Chris Kent (character) - Wikipedia here

Anyone else that liked DC One Million?

reads like there are a lot of DC fans out there.

So are you all finding DC edgier than Marvel?
