my good buddy went hard core his 1st year at college (I went to community college 1st yr). By the time the following year I went to his college, he had to community college for a semester to bring his grades back up.
Don’t get my post wrong at all, I realize what I’m here for. Believe me, I worked damn hard to get here, to get the scholarships that allow me to go here, to make enough money during the summer to actually live here, etc. I’m not gonna throw all of that away for some good times, I’m gonna do my work. But at the same time, I’m gonna enjoy this shit. I’ll post my first semester grades and pictures to prove it lol

I don’t know that, for an English major, there was any other way for me to do it.
Bwa ha ha ha.
I partied reasonably hard my first year, but it gets old pretty fast. I had school and work responsibilities, and I usually ended up “momming” the younger girls in my sorority.
Never again will you have so much freedom and so little responsibility. Use the time wisely.
Yea, its all time management. Get your shit done and do well on your exams and fill all remaining time with a trashcan full a rape juice and a beer-pong.
Obviously this will vary based on school, major, money, and desire to be productive post graduation. Shit majors like, Criminal Justice, Business, Philosophy, Psych., etc. are great for partying, not great for employment. You can’t do shit with these majors except go to grad school. Bio, Chem, Math, Physics, etc. are not great for partying but better for employment.
I was a criminal justice major with an ROTC scholarship. Easy major + guaranteed job + Penn State = AWESOME

This sucks. My college has no on-campus dorms, the parties suck and are all in expensive clubs, and all the people are pussywhipped and boring. The craziest it ever gets is when someone randomly talks about dildos (me). And that was only once.
I go to the same college. I cant wait to go to a big university for my masters.
But then you are just that weird old guy. :p
Didnt realized that 21 was old…
You’re old the minute you can legally buy alcohol.
See, college is actually for setting the foundation for success in the rest of your life, not drinking and watching people vomit. It is sad that people in this community actually enjoy being so stupid. Some people actually want to be successful and do well in school. But then again, if you want to be average and contribute nothing to society, keep getting trashed every night and get three hours of sleep and have no other goals than just to live it up.

This is a pretty shitty post. Calling business, philosophy, or criminal justice “shit degrees” is fucking stupid.
It’s what you do with the degree after you get out, not what you got.

On an unrelated note, I’ve never understood why people pull all-nighters. I mean, after a certain point in time, my productivity just goes into the shitter.

Yea, because no one who parties in college ever finds any amount of success or contributes anything to society.

Im a 2nd year business major at pretty damn good school and so far I have partied my ass off and kept my GPA up. I have to maintain a 3.8+ or switch my major. I am in a frat and live in the house and all of us get our shit done. To me it is just prioritizing. I don’t party all night before exams and I get my work done before I get shitty.
I thought it was common knowledge though that the harder majors are things like; computer science, electrical engineering, biology, nursing, physics and things like that. I don’t ever remember the business majors on my campus being considered as having a difficult major. Most of them partied constantly…which is why I am not exactly impressed by your statement.
If you claimed you acted like that as an electrical engineering or biology major with a GPA like that, then I might be impressed.
Man there is a lot of hating on this thread…work hard, play hard…it’s not that difficult a concept.
College is the time to find who you are…and if that means chasing tail and drinking on the weekends, have at it.
Again this is really the only time in your life you have to do all this stuff…don’t be the guy in the dorms studying on the weekend while everybody else is at the game…you know, having a life.

??
There were weekends where I was that guy…because being that guy at times is what allowed me to do what I’m doing right now.
What types of jobs do you guys have when you write shit like this?
Enjoy your time in College I was just busting your balls, I was a father at 17 the day I graduated High School. Then spent the next 14 years going to college and working two jobs. I didnt have the time or energy to party, just always remember school is first.

If you think business is an easy major you should probably have taken some business classes to dispel that thought. Although, I am at a high level school for this major, I have absolutely zero experience with how it is at any other school. Several of my brothers are physics majors and I generally have more work to do and more studying to do. I am not trying to impress you. Just sharing my experience.
There are some weekends when you DO have to be “that guy” staying in while everyone else has fun, goes to the game, etc. The key is to know when those weekends will be coming up, plan for them, and have a good time and do stupid shit when time permits.

Agreed, if you can manage to bullshit your way through classes and have a high gpa and party, all the more power to you.
Anyhow GWU is a school that only has decent IR, poli sci, and a few other majors like that. Everything else is well, lacking. So the OP can drink the semesters away and probably pull a B in those courses, and get his bachelors with nothing to market after.
However I’m not hating, I can’t wait to transfer out of this worthless community college and go party some more at a uni, I’ve just done most of my partying prior to college.

Is this really so hard to understand?
I just wanted the words stated. I know kids do read this shit and some of them take it seriously. I have the pms to prove it.
