I am just glad that my team actually came back after getting waxed in the first half, we screwed ourselves in the first half but for the first time in a long long time we actually fought back (we’d have lost 48-0 under Tommy Bowden instead 30-27 tonight). Still ain’t happy about that holding call late in the game but it doesn’t make up for the mistakes in the first quarter, but I am happy we showed some toughness tonight, our qb Kyle Parker made his 2nd start this year as a redshirt freshman and threw 3 tds and all those yards, first time we’ve had a real qb in a few years. Even in the loss, GO TIGERS!
I think that fake fg pooch punt is a terribly designed play. Instead of your normal punt coverage squad you’ve got 350 lineman trying to cover a kick, it obviously didn’t work. That and the other GT gadget play were the difference. You guys battled back, and the 53 yard kick was awesome. I’m looking forward to TCU’s trip up there, whish I could make it.
I look forward to that game, it should be a great one (as long as my team plays a full 60 minutes instead of the last 30). Still can’t believe we only gave up one offensive touchdown but 3 fgs as well as those 14 points on that fake fg and punt return for TD
Hey Spike, what’d you think of your QB Parker? I was rootin for him when he won the job over Korn, and he absolutely amazed tonight in only his 2nd career start. Granted he didn’t get us a win, could argue he was until that bullshit holding penalty but we couldn’t overcome those early mistakes.

I only saw bits and pieces of the game but it looked like the poor QB was running for his life. GTs defensive end is the real deal. Frankly the one player that stood out (besides the kicker) was your right DE. The announcers were comparing him to Reggie White. He was all over the place and I saw him put several good shots on people. I believe they said your WR is the fastest player in the country. I think you’ll have a good season.
Is Virginia dead in the water or are they a wounded animal lying in wait? Guess we’ll see Saturday. I just read that we are starting the Freshman at TB. I hope it’s just because he’s doing that good.

Parker was able to make great throws after we finally moved Lambert (76 who was blown up by techs 91) to the other side of the line. Right DE is DaQuan Bowers, he is a beast I’ll say that much. He and Ricky Sapp (7, the Left DE) helped us get back into that game.
Virgina you never really know about, yes they lost by 12 points to a 1AA team, but under Al Groh they usually come back at least decent, I wouldn’t be too worried about any one UVA player, I definitely say put them away in the first half and let the D continue to stop everything in the 2nd.
I am definitely looking forward to our team’s matchup in 2 weeks from saturday, wishing I could be there as well, but I will be there for my school’s game against BC.

I am so psyched for the SC-OSU game it’s scary, I am actually mad that the game is on at 5pm PST rather than the typical 12:30 or 3:30.
Why? That means it’s a night game at Ohio State, and the energy levels will be off the chart.
Or are you an SC fan? If so, I can understand why you’re alarmed.

No need for him to be alarmed, SC wins.
At first, I wanted to say they win in a rout, but I thought Texas would do the same to Ohio State last year in the Fiesta Bowl.
I would love to get Texas or Florida in the national title game. I want Florida since they are considered so strong, but I really want Texas because they beat us in 2005. I want redemption. To be the best, you have to beat the best. Leave no doubt.

I concur ;-)
I was so looking forward to what was supposed to be an epic OU - Texas match up.
If we (OU fans) are lucky, it will at least be competitive.

I think it will still be very competitive…we shall see.

Colorado is doing their best OU impression with numerous holding calls and dropped passes.
I don’t see them coming back against Toledo.
Naw, they still have their QB who, um, earned the position.
Hawkins is so gone.

What happened to your Buffs PMPM? Toledo brought an extra ass to the game and whooped it for you guys. My old offensive line coach came from Colorado when you guys won the National Title, and after dealing with him I thought, “All things golden must come from Colorado.”
This Tennessee/UCLA game is a good one, it’s coming down to the wire. Not to mention the UCLA QB having his teeth knocked out along with a nice gash under his chin. Welcome to the NCAA.

My Buffs? You guys???
I grew up in Boulder. There’s no way I’d ever claim that team as my own. shudders
Boomer Sooner, baby!
And that USC/OSU game was awesome. Not the outcome I wanted, but still a great game!
USC/OSU was definitely a great game tonight, but how in the hell does wins over neveda and western michigan make ND and Mich game relevant again? I call bullshit on that one, but the most intriguing thing today is how in the hell does Oklahoma State get beat like that at home?
