What Happened to TEXAS?!

Holy cow!

The same thing that happened in Lubbock…just in different directions. I still give props to Alabama and the Texans on their team that made it happen for them.

Congrats,HM.

let me change clothes and go out.

i figure in about 3 hours i’d be alright to hit that

Looks like the lost.

What happened? They played an amazing game… everyone gave up after mccoy was injured. Freshman qb almost zero experience… I think they did pretty good for themselves. Especially cutting it to 21-24, after the fumble on the final drive it was all downhill but they this played a great game in my book… for the situation they were in. At half time Saban even talked about how he was disappointed that they wouldnt be playing Texas as full force

Gilbert really stepped up. There were STUPID play calls / HORRIBLE executions. Sad to see Colt stand on the side after all he’s been through his career, especially these past two seasons. Honestly, Alabama didn’t look good at all. Saban should be HAPPY he didn’t get to see a veteran QB behind Texas. With Colt, this wouldn’t have been a game.

The defense played well considering how much they were on the field…well, they at least tightened up the second half. Unfortunate how things happen…but it is what it is.

I feel sorry for Colt McCoy…I called him a pussy, but it’s not his doing as to why he didn’t play. Daddy issues at Texas schools are a common thing at the end of this season.

You fucking play to win what is at hand…hell,Ingram ran on our ass with a fucked up calf/ankle.

I think that freshman QB for Texas did a pretty good job in the 2nd half, but blew it when he got him from his blind side and fumbled. I can’t blame him for that, he made freshman mistakes. Take away that foolish shovel-pass right before half time, you might have a different story. Maybe not.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

If it wasn’t for the subsequent Alabama touchdown, I think they’dve put Colt back in after half, but after that I think they were thinking damage control and that the game was out of reach, then Gilbert stepped up out of nowhere.

DAT’S WHAT I WAS TELLIN’ YOU BEFORE!!

Gilbert is going to be better than McCoy…he has a better arm than McCoy…don’t know about running the ball though.

NOTE TO MACK BROWN: Vince Young is never coming back…so stop it with the spread option bullshit and start running the fucking ball down people’s throats again.

i think given the situation texas payed a real good game. I actually dont really like texas at all but I do feel bad for Colt, its one of those things where he deserved to play the game but the injury/pulling out of the game was not his call.

Texas played a great game. And Gilbert played a great second half. But I don’t think it was as close as most believe. Saban hasn’t ran the score up on any one all season, and I don’t think he expected Gilbert to play well. And that is why Alabama played so conservative and ridiculously predictable at the beginning of the second half. Texas has a great D but Alabama demonstrated they could score when needed.

texas rallied. was a close game. a few plays going differently, and they coulda pulled this out. they gave up a bit in the first half. they will be back. but the Hokies are winning the championship next year. mark my words.

Scored at will from interceptions and fumbles…? If you’re making the assumption based on the last 2 min then you need to reevaluate the game.

The last 2 minutes was the result of a great D able to take advantage of a lot of luck, lol. I was talking about the way they ran the ball and scored in the first half. Alabama doesn’t have a fast paced offense and they are not going to put up 50 points on most teams much less a D like Texas. I wasn’t trying to take away from Texas being a great team and if McCoy would have played the whole game, who knows? I just think that Saban wasn’t as aggressive in the second half because he didn’t expect Gilbert to perform. Pie in our face I guess.

They will lose to the eventual champ, Boise St.
