College Football

Wow, Florida and Alabama looked highly beatable today (good thing for Bama is that they have a bye next week, and that offense needs it). Texas looks dominant after playing a decent Missouri team, USC seems to finally have the upper hand against Oregon St, Iowa escapes (what is gonna happen when they play a team that has speed and doesn’t turn the ball over? Could be an Illinois situation from a couple years ago in the bowls).

Gotta say look out for TCU though, they really seem to putting it all together right now (be interesting to see where they end up tomorrow in the polls).

USC better hang on, Oregon State coming back

Congrats Rocker and Geebus, good wins for both teams, but especially Clemson. AFA is a pesky bunch, plus noone else runs their offense so it’s hard to prepare for.

The TCU game has been over for an hour but I’m still buzzing. Very vanilla play calling for 6 games, then we ran more trick plays and new wrinkles in the first quarter than I’d seen all year. How about that defense? Just outstanding!

Goddam college fucking football.

I didn’t see the game, but I have really been impressed with TCU’s defense the past two years. Seeing it live in Salt Lake last year was a neat experience. If Utah doesn’t start to get more consistent, I am afraid that it won’t be pretty in Fort Worth three weeks from now.

I suspect you guys will have your A game when you come to Ft Worth. Unfortunately I’ll be the best man at a wedding and miss the game. I’ll be cheering for Utah in every other game.

Doesn’t look like anything changed in the new polls.

Only real difference I see is TCU moving up a spot to #6 in the Coaches Poll. Boise State, unless it gets some help from the computers doesn’t look like it has any legit shot at the title game at this point because they’ve had the same amount of votes in the coaches poll last week and in this weeks. (USC is ahead of them in that poll, and as the season goes on they and TCU should jump them in the computers due to a stronger schedule, especially with USC/Oregon next week and TCU/Utah in a couple weeks).

Spike, y’all aint anywhere near out of it yet. If Oregon can pull of the win this weekend and y’all continue to win say hello to the top 4.

Gotta say I am impressed with Houston staying in the top 15 in the AP Poll (17 in the coaches), you don’t see too many teams that haven’t had at least a year of a PR campaign in a non-BCS conference get into the top 25 that high with one loss to an unranked, but congrats to em. I wonder how long their head coach will be there.

Right now I just wanna beat UNLV. That and get up early for cardio. I just want to savor the season and win one game at a time. UNLV is a trap. and we may play Wyoming in a foot of snow. I know Utah will be gunning for us.

I think you’ll gradually see Boise slip, despite success, the SOS just isn’t there. Not sure what to make of Cinci.

My UH Cougars jumped a couple of spots in the AP poll to #15, but dropped a spot in BCS to 18 =( I guess thats what happens when you play SMU, even if you do trounce them.

My Trojans went to #5 above Boise State and Cincy. Fucking Iowa was about to lose and won it with 2 seconds left. With so much struggle in the top 5, I think someone is going to drop off at some point.

Go Hawks!

Number one in the computers. interesting.

We already did that for ya.

Looks like Bradford will have season-ending shoulder surgery and then probably enter the draft.

All in all, a great program but simply unworthy of a Top 10 ranking. Sorry.[/quote]

Boise’s last loss was to ________________

Boise isnt unworthy of a top 10 ranking. Theyve even shown they can beat BCS teams in BCS bowls. If anything the WAC is unworthy of having Boise St in it. Move them to the Pac-10 and boot Wazzou or something…or just be the Pac-11 like the Big-11 errrrr Big-10.

x2

If Boise State played any one of the top 5 teams, they would get their ass handed to them. They play well against lower competition, but if they step up to the big boys, they will fold.
