ESPN GameDay at the Stanford oval was a success! I was able to get into the VIP section right next to the stage, which had great food, flat screens to watch the live telecast, and a perfect view of the stage.

Seeing the gang in person is definitely a trip, and something that I’m glad I got to do. The best part of the whole thing is that everyone is simply super happy to be there, and no matter if it was a Oregon fan, a Stanford fan, or a fan from some random school (which there definitely were a lot of) everyone got along great and just added to the energy.
Just wanted to make sure everyone saw that I actually sacked up and represented T-Nation at ESPN GameDay.

Real fun.
I expected to see you in a T-Nation T-shirt posing with someone of importance.

Dick!
Well, that was just uncalled for, whereas the expected picture mentioned above was called for, so …huh…

Just taking out my frustrations about Stanford’s loss.

In the future I would prefer you keep your “Dick!” to yourself.

I understand, A&M has a good offense and pretty good defensive line but a gaping maw of incompetence in the center of their secondary and a matching lousy record.

So it comes down to Ok. State at OU. If Ok. St. wins then its all set. If OU wins then its goat fucked.

If OU does win who the hell gets the number 2 ranking, OU?

Can’t logically say that Oregon should get a rematch but Bama shouldn’t. Bama was way more competitive with LSU but honestly I’m not sure anyone should ever get a rematch. Arkansas will be out if LSU wins out. Clemson could win out but god that would make for one lopsided NC game.

I bet the BCS guys will be praying for a Ok. St. win in the bedlam game.
As much as I’d love to see Bama get another opportunity, I really hope Ok. St. pulls it out against OU. Then, maybe Bama will have a chance to show Oregon another SEC smackdown. However, if OU does win, BCS will put Bama at number 2 (assuming the last 2 games go well for them).

Arkansas doesn’t stand a chance against LSU. Regarding Clemson vs. LSU at New Orleans, aaaahahaha.

TCU was 15 point dogs to Boise, on the road, Hogs could pull it out.

Curious how the BCS/bowl tie ins work for the SEC. How far down n the pecking order is the Cotton Bowl?

Arkansas has a habit of playing ridiculously good against LSU, its the Battle for the Golden Boot

BCS is out. I really hope OK state wins out because I don’t want to see a rematch for the BCS title game.

1 LSU .9933
2 Oklahoma State .9642
3 Alabama .9099
4 Oregon .8755
5 Oklahoma .8400
6 Arkansas .7974
7 Clemson .6935
8 Virginia Tech .6755
9 Stanford .6747
10 Boise State .5959

Now we just need LSU and OK State to lose to have like, the most fucked up BCS situation yet.

This. I don’t particularly want to lose to LSU in the BCS championship game, but man, it would be funny if “the season of five+ undefeateds” turns into the “season of Houston claiming a share of the title.”

Also, whoever said there isn’t much Boise hatred here - yes there is. I have enough for the entire board.

Take a number, I have never been a fan or believer in Noisy State. I would be inconsolable for only 2 minutes should a natural disaster run through there.

Kinda surprised Boise is still in the top ten… Still think Bama should be #2… Fucking computers.

Damn.

LSU has already beaten #3 and #4, with #6 coming up on the schedule and possibly the winner of #2 vs #5. If they win out, that will be one hell of a resume.

Has any other team beaten 4 top ten teams in the same season since Nebraska did it in 1995?

Okie State gets the nod because their head coach is a Man.

Also because OKST trounced the same team that ruined Boomers undefeated season. That’s what I think.

That would be a crazy resume. Oddly, the build up to Alabama was intense. I thought I would find some relief if we beat Bama. HOWEVA, the pressure is 10 times worse now. I am nervous about Ole Miss. Nervous about Arkansas. Assuming they keep winning…nervous about the SEC Championship…it’ll be fun to watch.

Being an LSU fan I understand your worry. Absolute domination is the worlds most fragile glass house. But from the outside, they look utterly dominant. I see LSU running the table…Somebody on TV called them ‘Louisiana State’ and it took me a couple of minutes for me to figure out who they were talking about…LOL at myslef.

Interesting thoughts on transparency in college football:

http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/2011/penn-state-reveals-lack-of-transparency-in-college-football/?utm_source=SECfootball&utm_medium=twitter

BG would like this. Wrong thread though.

Transparency, tricky subject. I can only imagine the victrole hurled towards academia if there was transparency of decisions about student exceptance, especially at the grad level. I have been involved in making that sausage and it really diminished my estime of grad school.

Eh, didnt feel like gettin involved in that mess of a thread, figured I would stay here where its quieter and more reasonable

Yeah, I said what I wanted to say in that thread early on, now I’m out.
