College Footbal.

I just have to give a shot out for the LSU tigers for beating Georgia today. It’s the first time LSU has beat a top 10 team in a long time. Florida’s next, then it’s the SEC championship. Man, it’s nice to be able to talk shit when your team is winning. I’m probably the only LSU fan on this board anyway so somebody has to do it.

Don’t overlook the Razorbacks!

Hell you say! I’m also a big LSU fan. Awesome game today, looking forward to the Florida game.

College football is by FAR the greatest game in the world. Where else can you see a bunch of small schools like the MAC pull off upsets over two top 10 teams in one week (Marshall 0ver K-state and Toledo over Pitt). Also, I guess michigan as my dark horse national title team preseason is dead. I still can’t stand the sight of Oregon’s uniforms, but the road ones are worse. So who is everyone’s pick for the title now that theres a few weeks down. Miami looks vulnerable, I’m looking at USC as a maybe, and of course Oklahoma looks good. Did anyone see Rashawn Woods today, I thought I saw 7 TD catches on ESPN, that’s just sick.

So many upsets today!!! Go Buckeyes. Also Oregon’s uniforms are pretty sweet.

Woo Hoo! My 'Backs did great tonight! Put down UNT, 31 to 7!!! Undefeated in their first three games. I think Matt Jones is just beginning to blossom. This is going to be a great season!

My town (Little Rock)is partying tonight.

jp,

Were you able to make the game? I waited too long to buy tickets and they sold out. I heard the atmosphere was great. People started tailgating a 8 AM so they were probably very drunk by the 6 PM kickoff time. I’m definately making the next LR game though. BTW I’m a UAMS student, so there are a few of us t-maggers here in The Rock.

Yes, I'm glad to see Bill Snyder's scheduling backfire. See, K-State likes to play a weak non-conference schedule, but Marshall has proven itself to be a solid team over the last five or six years. The Big-12 struggled some this week with Colorado and K-State losing. My Sooners, however, looked pretty good.

I considered them a national title contender as well. Boy, were we wrong.

"I still can't stand the sight of Oregon's uniforms, but the road ones are worse."

They are hideous.

Oklahoma, as long the running game can be more consistent.

"Miami looks vulnerable, I'm looking at USC as a maybe, and of course Oklahoma looks good."

Miami has pulled some miracle wins out of their ass the last few years. A few games come to mind where they basically gave a team the game to win but the opposing team didn't capitalize. Florida from a few weeks ago and Florida State last year off the top of my head. Mark it down, Florida State will beat Miami this year. The game is in Tallahassee(sp?)and FSU has a defense to go along with a good offense. Also, Brock Berlin is not Ken Dorsey.

*Thinking of OU-OSU from last year* *shudders*

I don't care to talk about anyone relating to the OSU program. :) How about the clinic Antonio Perkins put on yesterday. He set a single game record for yardage in the punt-return. He had over 270 yards and returned three punts for touchdowns. Perkins had more punt-return yards than did UCLA on total offense.

Congrats to LSU. They beat a damn good Georgia team.

MD2006 and jpfitness,

Arkansas is looking good too. We’ll be playing you on Nov. 28 at home. Should be a good game.

Scary,

Didn’t know there was any other LSU fans on here. I can’t wait for the Florida game. I’m definitely going to be in Baton Rouge for that one.

Miami looked bad again this weekend, I know BC always plays them close, but their offense, is just that, offensive. I expected more out of Frank Gore this year, everyone saying he’s better than McGahee, and all of that, I was expecting him to be a heisman contender out of the gates. Speaking of Heisman, I feel bad for Eli Manning. Do they have a 1-AA team playing around him? Oh well, hopefully it’ll hurt his draft stock enough to where all my dreams come true and I see the name Manning on a Pittsburgh Steeler jersey. Tommy’s gettin old anyway, and I know Plex and Hines are better than his wideouts there.

Mike Smith,

"Miami looked bad again this weekend, I know BC always plays them close, but their offense, is just that, offensive."

I wonder how the game would have turned had BC not made so many mistakes. It seemed that the turnovers were difference in the game.

Miami is still a very good team. They have speed at all the necessary positions on offense and defense. Berlin, however, has shown that he can be rattled. Ken Dorsey, as much as I hated him, could not be taken out of his game. He was a proven winner and probably the reason Miami has been so successful the last three years. Again, I think the FSU game will be judgment day for Berlin. How will he play with a solid defense coming at him the whole game?

Dustin

Turnovers hurt BC, but I think the kick coverage was even worse, since when did covering kicks get so hard? I bet Frank Beamer was losin it watching that game. I’ll admit, Roscoe Parrish is a great athlete, but I think this year you could take an all florida college team and win consistantly in the NFL, the defense would be sick. But they don’t win the title every year. What I really hate to see though is how far Penn States fallen. No one even respects them anymore, and Paterno is still a great coach and a living legend. His biggest problem is recruiting, why would anyone pass on the beaches of miami to go sit in the middle of the hills in PA.
