My goals are strength at this point in my training. I’m planning on doing a PL contest in April 07 (as long as I’m not injured). It will be my first one and I’ll be training with the guy who won that contest this year. We won?t start training together till September.
Anyway. Will drinking coffee affect my progress? You know like have a catabolic affect?
My current weight 215 I’m 6’2". I was 245 in December. I’d like to stay at this weight for the competition so I don’t have to lift against larger athletes. I feel strong and don’t feel hungry. I don’t know exactly how many calories I’m eating.
Nope coffee is not only OK but good for you. Antioxidants etc… Like they said just dont over due it go CRAZY…
I and others have posted several link/arrticles here on the benefits of coffee. one is something Like “Have My Coffee And Drink it Too” do a search…
If using for performance enhancement its good to know how it effects you etc to train with it but also back off a bit prior so you get the full effect again if thats bwhat you have in mind as well
Coffee isn’t bad for you in moderation, just don’t guzzle it. I might have a cup of Joe, or a latte with skim and splenda from Fourbucks and a diet soda or diet iced tea or something but no more than two-three cups of joe/soda a day. Each cup of coffee has about 115 or so mgs of caffine; espresso more obviously.
Well up here in the seattle area it’s big coffee fest. I play a lot of poker on the weekends and sometimes it gets late and I have a few cups to stay alert!!!
