Where do you get your news? What sources do you check on a regular basis? Did CNN have balanced news stories from the left and the right?
Read an article during the elections that showed how CNN ratings were dropping compared to Fox and MSNBC, as they attempted to present a more journalistic approach as opposed to picking a side and crucifying the other.
Masses mostly viewing to reinforce their viewpoint.
I watch Headline News to stay somewhat current and Fox if I want to be “validated”. Although Fox irritates me also with the wimpy questioning and excess pontificating

fox news walks a fine line and msnbc does not. it tends to make their treatment of liberal guests appear wimpy. they do not go in for the kill as msnbc does.
my homepage is drudgereport.com. both sides of the isle check it on a daily basis owing to the fact that it has it’s fingers on the nation’s pulse. this is not my opinion, he has produced web stats showing individual hits in the billions and is worth hundred of millions of dollars.

i listen to am talk radio while i lift (except for squats and dead lifts, whereas i listen to nothing because it breaks my focus.)
Dennis Prager in my opinion is the most intelligent radio talk show host. he looks kind of like hugh hewtit another radio host so don’t mix the two up.
Dennis Prager can put the most damning difference that separates liberals from conservatives and transform it down to it’s simplest idea. that is a gift that has changed many minds on political hot potatoes.
His show is like a college class. it takes on all sides of an argument and dissects each to come to down to what usually one has no other option but to yield to. i would highly recommend finding what time he is on your am station and give a few programs a try. they usually repeat his programming from earlier during the overnight hours - maybe 2:00am.
Dennis Prager has one show a week that is called the Happiness Hour and it life changing:

There is no way around bias , if you think FAUX is not biased then you have a bigger problem than not being able to find an unbiased news outlet
As far as the alleged socialist agenda I am sure they NPR is more concerned with the social aspects of society than FAUX is but they are not Socialists . They probably do not share your phobia of the word .

john f. kennedy would be ashamed of democrats thinking socialism which he hated is now likened to “social aspects of society.” socialism does not work because it is not consistent with fundamental principles of human behavior.
the reason it doesn’t work pitt is because it is a system that ignores incentives. taking from the rich loses in the long run because they eventually run out of money. or the rich move out of the country. then how do you make everyone happy?

CNN won’t be around long, it seems. What they were originally and what they are now are very different.

It is getting harder and harder to find outlets that aren’t skewed heavily towards one side. In a sense right now none of the money is in the middle. Probably been that way for a while.
No one wants to hear anything is going good. We want to be told what to fear, who to fear, and how to make the fear stop. The fear peddlers on both sides use this to profit. Most of the wealthier people in media and politics are those that peddle fear the best or on the left use biased comedy.
Most of the country desperately wants to think they are correct so they will be careful not to read anything that challenges those notions. It’s better to just read outlets designed towards your view than think about an issue in multiple terms or from multiple viewpoints.
This is another reason why you see both left and right talk about bias all the time. Lefties and righties will scream about bias and literally avoid places because of fear of bias so they can read stuff that is completely skewed toward their viewpoint (yeah, even though that is bias).
Actually a lot of social psychology research has looked into this and shown how much people’s brains change when presented a piece of information that is from a Dem or Republican based on what they want to believe.
