Clean Eating?

I was wondering if I ate fast food for my second post w/o meal once in a while would that be better than say eating it on non workout days. I generally only eat a wendy’s triple or mc’ds double quarter pounder. So I think i get plenty of protein in there. But I mean I have seriously been through stages where I would eat fast food every day for a month and lots of other crap with it and not gain a pound and not get any fatter. it doesn’t seem to have any effect on me. I have also eaten really really clean for more than a month and didn’t really notice and difference in body comp. still pretty lean but could never see a full six pack. I can generally see the top abs and sometimes the top four. (shrug) I was just thinking if I can hammer down a 1000 calorie fast food meal easier than I can eat a clean p/wo meal wouldn’t there be some advantage for mass?

I hope some of this thread is a joke. A Coke after training? Yeah, except the fact that it contains no protein, no aminos, and the wrong kind of carbs, it’s perfect!

As for the rest of it, you have to give your body something to work with. Your muscles can’t do much with junk food and fast food. A calorie is not a calorie. You don’t have to be as strict when bulking if you’re a skinny bastard, but you do have to provide your muscles with what they need, not just empty calories.

Let’s not regress 10 years in nutritional knowledge in this thread, fellas.

im with TEK with all the info on this site it really sucks to see people here using the “80’s” nutitional guides to bulking…

Crap food won’t even be assimilated as tissue. So you don’t get fat from fast food? I can guarentee you won’t get massive then.
