so 2.3 pounds of fat and about 0.8 pounds of non fat loss in my first 12 days.
these figures are subject to alot of variables though.
little concerned for the apparent loss of some muscle…however this could just be initial water loss distorting the measurements
if I continue to lose lean body mass ill add 25g of dextrose to my peri workout drink and test that for a week.
also I remember on previous cutting phases, I would have massive cheat days every weekend and at least 4 ‘slip ups’ at least 4 times a week.
overall I had a 90% compliance during the 6 non cheat days.
Since Easter 12 days have passed.
I have not broken program once. thats 100% compliance and I have no inclination to AT ALL.
Shugarts theories on simply not wanting or needing to cheat at a certain stage seem to apply.
note that this week I will ‘trim’ my scheduled cheat meals a little.
I will have a cheat breakfast of porridge cream and brown sugar, and then perhaps a wholegrain home cooked lasagne for Dinner (after HIIT training).
I feel that these meals are part of the reason ive stayed 100% clean, and I do believe that they are providing chemical relief for my body.
However in no way do I feel I want these cheats.
For those of you out there who are struggling to stay consistent…dont obsess and dont let guilt sabotage your efforts.
eventually your willpower emerges without even ‘activating’ it and you do actually lose the positive associations that junk food used to offer.
Now that ive doomed myself by boasting about my compliance, lets see how long it lasts!
not entirely sure what happened today, but all the exercises I did in my 10x3 today were way easier than usual.
except for my bent over row…not entirely sure why that one decided to remain challenging!
well the only thing that has changed in the week has been HOT-ROX Extreme…so I guess im going to have to chalk it up to that!
either way, ill be adding 2.5kg to my overhead press, 5kg to my lunge and 20kg to my romanian dead for next week.
( I started my romanian deadlift 20kg lower than my deadlift, because at the time I was unsure on the form and how it differed - im fine now)
Nice choice of a thread title. I though you were looking forward to a big BM. Great job on your progress! Keep it up.

thanks for the props man!
ENoyed some nice wholemeal buns with my all meat burgers today.
theseare definately not cheat days - ive decided a focus on purely wholegrain carbs, unprocessed and good quality is the flavour of the day.
Go Chutec GO GO GO!!!
Nice goals you’ve got there. How do you go about the calories? Do you work them out for a week or daily?
Going by the BMR wouldn’t it be easier to count the cal by the activity one gets every day?
For example today I had done f…ck all BMRx1.2 - 20%(for fat loss), tomorrow I’ll kill myself in the gym BMRx1.9 - 20%
What do you think? This is how I’m going to do it. Going low carb of cause.
Anyway brilliant work so far.
I’ll keep an eye on you. And want to see some pics soon…
Cheers

(yesterday was carb reload - hence weight increase and temp increase).
It may seem counterintuitive that my weight keeps spiking back up after the reload but heres the pattern so far:
214 down to 213
carb reload up to 216
216 down to 212 in time for the next carb reload.
reloaded up to 214.75
which means logically by my next carb reload ill be 210.75 by Friday.
basically im losing 1 pound a week as it is…I know in the short term I would lose more if I didnt carb reload - but throughout the week my body temp drops and the reload seems to reset it - which means my metabolism is in risk of slow down if I leave the carb reload out.
THE PLAN:
If I am 210 or less on Friday morning I will carb up at normal.
If I am above 210 on Friday I will push my reload back a further 4 days and then have a reload every 10 days instead of every week.
I will then track this over the course of 3 reloads and see if that works better for me.
As it stands my revised aims are as follows:
either I finish once my average body fat reach 8% OR
my birthday comes on 7 June.
so worst case scenario if I keep losing at this rate ill have lost 9 pounds by my birthday.
perfect.
juicy lucy thanks for the encouragement.
I have thought about calorie cycling like that.
I think however that most of the 1.2-1.8 multipliers are based on activity over a week.
for example i think 1.6 multiplier is 3-5 hard exercise sessions per week in combination with desk job.
IF I wasnt losing weight on this current calculation I would definitely give that daily bmrXmultiplier way a go…but I think ill keep it a more simple weekly average until i need to complicate it later on.

Hopefully this pic will come through.
