She sounds like a doctor I want. You’re a stubborn guy, maybe get on antidepressants if you don’t believe her.
@ineedenergy
I’m pro checking estrogen but in reality it doesn’t matter. Take Testosterone, if you feel bad adjust dose up or down until you feel good. Doesn’t really matter where estrogen is because the answer is the same… Adjust dose/protocol up or down.
Injected TRT earns high marks for safety, effectiveness
A newly published review suggests that age-related testosterone deficiency treatment with intramuscular injections of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) offers health benefits and lower cardiovascular risk compared to testosterone replacement by patch or gel. While TRT can result in increased muscle mass and strength, decreased fat mass, and increased bone mineral density, the therapy has known risks. These include the development of polycythemia, decreases in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, breast tenderness and enlargement, and prostate issues. The authors point out, however, that TRT does not increase prostate cancer risk. And whether TRT hurts, helps, or has no effect on cardiovascular risk remains controversial in the literature. The University of Florida, Gainesville, researchers who conducted this latest review were among the authors of a previously published study suggesting that oral TRT increases cardiovascular risk, but no significant cardiovascular effects were noted with injected or transdermal TRT.
The low testosterone risk are known, heart disease, cardiovascular disease, congestive heart failure, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and low testosterone men live shorter lives.
I find this thread rather amusing. In Vonko’s thread, this guy is claiming we are all ignorant because he has been apparently researching TRT since 2013. Meanwhile, he is a medical disaster. Why do we help those who claim ignorance when advice is provided?
The reasons behind his issues are dead obvious.
This is the part that literally made me laugh out loud for almost ten minutes:
“My endo is female and she’s a quack. She thinks that testosterone is a remedy for all diseases. She thinks you dont need to measure estradiol, DHT and TRT has no side effects. She has no idea what PCT is.”
You don’t need to measure estradiol. DHT and testosterone have never been shown to cause harm in any clinical study. PCT does not apply to guys on TRT which is why she probably didn’t know what it was. You have an EDUCATED doc, not a quack. However, with all your ‘research’ learning bro-science, you are lead to believe that she is a quack.
I guarantee you that you will still be in this forum, five years from now, complaining about all your issues and calling people ignorant. The other thing you can try is listen to your doctor, as well as the people here, take a step back, and LEARN a thing or two about this subject.
Wellbutrin works, not TRT !
Wellbutrin for the rest of your life, or testosterone. I missed where you explained how Wellbutrin forever is a better option. Why not just fix the thing that causes the need for Wellbutrin? It’s side effects are significantly worse than testosterone and it’s a lot worse to come off of. You don’t really make much sense.
Because TRT is useless
“I need to get back on Wellbutrin. TRT has done nothing for my libido. Wellbutrin helped a lot. Unfortunately Wellbutrin did nothing for my OCD and anxiety symptoms so my doctor switched me back to lexapro (she didn’t want to stack them together).”
Wellbutrin works for about a year and does not even come close to the effect TRT has on every aspect of life (when at an optimal dose). One of the notable negative effects from Wellbutrin is anxiety especially around groups of people. It helps with libido very minimally as in went from no libido to some libido. For the record I took Wellbutrin for 5 years at doses from 300mg to 450mg so I’m not talking out of my ass here. It’s a great drug but nothing close to TRT. I came off wellbutrin while on TRT and anxiety literally disappeared.
Not according to your own words, TRT work initially, but you tapped out when others told you to lower your dosage. The guys over at Excelemale came to the same conclusion and thought it was unusual for someone to give up so easily.
I’ve had more problems than anyone and I keep pushing forward and NEVER give up.
You were on TRT for what, a couple of weeks? You must have thought TRT was going to be easy. TRT can take months to find the correct dosage, in my case it took 2 years.
I know plenty of people for whom Wellbutrin caused nothing but problems. I don’t think that your problem is solved with a pill, but I’m starting to wonder if maybe a whole bottle of the right one would get it for you.
What do you think about this topic ?
I’ll just to speak to my own experience. I took T some yrs ago and just starting again now. But I can tell you that when I was on T for a while, i noticed that I was a little more aggressive in that I wanted to get things done rather than procrastinate like I normally would. I did have lots of stress from work at the time. Testosterone helped the stress. I didn’t notice anything overwhelming. But it was positive.
That’s my experience. But I know most guys here have much more experience with T than I do.
Your WBC are elevated, as are Lymphocytes. Your body was probably recently infected with some kind of bacteria. How are your bowel movements? Loose?
How low has your ferritin been in the past? Bacteria, such as H. Pyolri depletes Ferritin.
I recommend Genova Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis. Work with a functional medicine/Naturopath physician.
“Your body was probably recently infected with some kind of bacteria.”
Maybe i got a sore throat at this time
“How are your bowel movements? Loose?”
No. Normal, but I’ve it almost after each time i eat
“How low has your ferritin been in the past?”
Minimum is 63
“Bacteria, such as H. Pyolri depletes Ferritin.”
Not sure I’ve it. I took probiotics, anti-parasitic meds
