2. Pretty funny comparing him to someone serving fries.
Yeah…funny and sad.
I have a guitar teacher. I pay him to teach me the guitar. When he got married I got him a gift. Nothing major, but I wanted to recognize that even though we have a professional relationship, I like the guy.
My kids have school teachers that get paid to teach them. At the end of the year I give each of them a gift card to a book store. It’s a way of saying, hey, I know you’re a paid professional, but I wanted to say thank you for doing what you do.
I ‘know’ this guy online that has helped me a lot whether he knows it or not and hey…maybe he’s making a buck off it, but…I like the guy and think he’s a good fellah and eveyone bitching about the idea of trying to do something for him is (imo) trying to look smart by being contradictory and pointing out (the obvious) that he gets paid.
Yup.
So where’s Christian registered anyway? Rainbow Depot?

Salmon Fishery, I expect.

Guys do you believe Christian is here for free? He get paid for doing it! Or at least he makes money writing articles for T-Nation. T-Nation is also a very good medium to advertise oneself and there’s nothing wrong with that! That’s his job! He isn’t some mother Teresa or something sacrificing is own time and life for you! Business is business!
I don’t know if Christian gets paid or if he just benefits from the exposure. However, he does more than just write articles and then disappears. He responds to a lot of questions. We all had teachers in school, even good ones, who taught us in class but then weren’t around to help us out. They did their job, more or less well, for their paycheck. Then, there were other teachers who would meet us after school, during lunch, etc to help us out. Go the extra mile. Christian appears to me to belong to this latter type.

Buy his latest book - and maybe one of his others that you may have missed. A win/win, irrespective of whether he’s getting married…
That’s a good idea actually…I like most of his articles but never picked up any of his books for some reason.

Thats what I’m saying. I don’t care how much Thib gets paid, I really believe he’s going above and beyond. I already own most of his books, so I’m heading over to http://www.christianthibaudeau.com/ and picking something up.
Im going to agree with everyone else and say that I think buying his books is a great gift to him and to yourselves. Definitely some of the most interesting and applicable training books Iv read.

Another vote for purchasing his books as a token of appreciation. Well worth the money and apropos.

I know what you mean. No doubt this guy is genuinely enthousiastic about his job and that’s why he rules!
Thibs is definitely a Bed, Bath and Beyond kinda guy, maybe even a Crate and Barrel.
But still, I know he has mentioned his marriage, I just don’t know if a thread ABOUT his private life is appropriate beyond a “congratulations Thibs!, Be happy, many years of love and life to you both!”
know what I mean?
