I am looking at 2 differnt programs that I like. Trying to get some feedback on which on might be better. The Block Periodization program, or a program Brian Schwab has been doing.
bench: 2bds one week,1bd next week,chest on 3rd week. 4th week deload
he changes reps the 1st block is 3 rep sets, the 2 reps sets, then 1 reps sets.
Squat: wk1 box, wk2 reverse band, wk3 full squat. reps are same as bench.
Deadlift: wk1 4" block, wk2 2" block, wk3 floor reps same as other 2.
I am a single ply lifter, no briefs. Single ply suit and wraps, single ply shirt if that help. Thanks for the help.
what level of lifter are you?
If your not yet near elite… just pick one and do it.
Everything works, but not forever!

I’d go with the Schwab program. It’s simple and easy to follow.
I’d save block periodization for when you have more experience and know how to set it up for yourself. Most of the guys that use it have an expert setup their training program. Jeremy Frey doesn’t even do his own programming for it. He has a master’s degree and is a strength and conditioning coach. He relies on Landon Evans who’s basically the guru of setting up block periodization for powerlifting.
