To me you actually look much closer to “lean” than you are to “big”. You look to be 13-14% BF, which is like 2-3 months from your goal, but at 6-1 or 6-2 you look like you could use another 40 pounds (natural) in the long run. 20 pounds of muscle for starters. If you lost 10 and added 40 you’d be 235 at “6-2” and sub 10%.
I’ve always had a long term goal at being 240, but thanks I don’t think I look either big or lean.
Yeah I always feel I’d like to be about 230 at the bf% I am now, so I could be pretty damn lean at about 210, and just shredz at like 190.

I feel after my cut, I’ll hopefully be able to get in that range.

I have thought about getting down to 240 myself but considering I am as slow as sin I’d just end up being small and slow instead of big and slow LOL

Today was the breaking point…was supposed to get 225 for 3x10 but it felt like the weight of the world on my back so I just did 6x5 to get my reps in. Leg strength has been slowly decreasing over the last 4 weeks. Everything was on point today, slept 8 and a half hours last night, nutrition was on point and I even took a 30 minutes power nap before I lifted. WHAT THE HELL////

I would say your thanks and move on to a different program/approach -you don’t seem to have made any major progress and you’re waist measurement seems to be steadily increasing. This seems to be largely just an ego trip for Zraw.

Something like Mountain dog or 5/3/1 with high volume accessory work for one or two muscle groups you particularly want to bring up.

… and there’s always madcow!

Chobbs-where in IN are you?

Fort Wayne during school…what about you?

Been busy as hell moving, amongst other things and dont have access to my computer/wont untill thursday pm
I MAY have time to catch up and read all the thread thursday but it will most likely have to be saturday (maybe friday but I gotta get two workouts in so im not sure)

No rush my man, I did probably think you had a life other than helping non-paying TNation users

I’ve been silently following/doing this routine since the thread started and am very happy with the split and results. However, I too noticed that my squat days were declining in strength and intensity over the last few weeks, and I felt exactly as you just described above. I attributed my decline to the leg press day. I had lightened the weight I HAD been doing before this routine in order to get the 5x20 in, but experimented by going back to heavier weights and lower reps (6-10) the last two weeks to see if it made a difference. My last squat session felt much better and at a little heavier weight than I had been doing for 10 reps. So far, seems to have initially addressed my issue even though I feel a little bad dropping the 20 rep sets. My 2 cents

^Thanks for your Input, I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling like this.

Down in Indy… My dad lives up in Columbia City. IPFW I assume? If you lived down here I figured I’d see what gym you trained at and maybe do a session together.

RANDOM QUESTION OF THE DAY: Zraw why do you think pb is more generally put in the “weight gain” category and almonds are usually put in the “fat loss” category when they have very similar macros?
almonds have some fat burning capabilities, it seems

Hey coach my low back is feeling a little tight/achey…your opinion would be appreciated.
Weight: slight increases
Monday June 10: 207.2
Tuesday June 11: 207.8
Wednesday June 12: 207
Thursday June 13: 209.2
Friday June 14:207.8

Measurements:
Left arm (hanging): 14"
Right arm: " : 14"
Chest: 41"
Waist (belly button): 34"
Waist(hips) : 35"
Left calf : 16"
Right calf : 16"
Left thigh : 24"
Right thigh : 24"
Calves and chest seem to be growing quickly, legs somewhat and I think my shoulders are starting to fill out. But arms and waist are doing the wrong things…:/
Waist will increase due to many things

 1. added fat (this doesnt necessarily means your bodyfat% is increasing though
 2. higher food volume, you do not digest everything in 2hours, trust me
 3. this will sound dumb but if you’re lower back was getting bigger it would also affect that measurement, albeit not my much

lol. go fuck yourself

Honestly man, I can change stuff if you like but putting the pics you posted from may27 to june22 makes me not want to change anything at all…

Yes your waist measurement is going up… but compare the pics and ask yourself (the front relaxed and back relaxed) if you look larger from the waist. You dont

Your chest looks to be more filled out, so are your arms.

Your lats def improved and so did your delts

Oh and on the front relaxed shot we see your abs just as well (maybe even slightly better) and you look to be a bit more Vshaped than just being like this | |

The ONLY thing im not sure about is the upper traps. And im not sure if its becuase of the lighting that it doesnt look better

Regarding lower back, use a belt on every movement that fatigue your lower back
Add 3 sets of hyperextension 3 x 15 1x per week

I agree with everything you said above! I was just being a baby back bitch about me not being able to hit what I wanted on squats one day. I think the belt will help alot!

With your next pictures put up a side by side of when you started and where you are now. I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Charming.

If his waist keeps getting bigger are you going to recommend amphetamines again.
