Good luck at your meet!

I stopped by from the title, thinking I was going to find another chicken recipe…

Hope you nail your goals at the meet this weekend.

Good luck!

Thanks Kid… …

Thank you, sir!..

Think big. Good luck.

Lets Go, go, go…!!!

Kick Ass man!

Best of luck, Paul! Tear it up! But, more importantly, have fun!

Thanks Crippler, Z and LS…

60 lifters , 3 flights, very well run, best I have been to…I was in the 2nd flight so after BP I went home . The 1/2 hour drive each way helped chew up the time. I got back to the meet and the 1st flight for DL had started so I grabbed my belt and went to warm up…perfect, no time to sit around and over think things! there were 3 guys including myself in the Masters 181…

Lets get to the good part: Post meet BPA’s 25,15, 25,15,15,15 they were done while standing in my pool between large swills of Bud Diesel…thats right Skip…BUD…B…U…D !!!

After last meet I wanted to right the ship so I opened at 235 on BP… and breezed through my 3 attempts ending at 255… I felt good about hitting the lifts even if they were low. I don’t get overly or outwardly nervous but I was; the BP debacle had firmly taken up residency front and center in my brain so it was good to rebound… One of the other 181’s opened BP at 290…I was like WTF…and he looked like your uncle, you know the accountant, mild mannered grandfather type. he was 59 ( I have work to do)…I might have met the only man on the planet who has as skinny legs as I do( Chuck is very nice man, positive, loves lifting and competing, you could see it and hear it in his voice, I truly enjoyed our brief conversation)… … coming out of BP I think was 50lbs behind…

For DL I opened at 365. went 385 and finished with a 405…the 385 was surprisingly iffy but the 405 was snappy…I guess there is something to focus and getting tight…it was certainly my best 405 is some time…but I really need to move away from that number… its been too long already.

I ended up on top by 20lbs…I have an ugly piece of plaster to prove it…but I have come to the realization that this just isn’t my thing…

time to start a new log

Peace

It is because you were just too damn sexy, isn’t ???
Isn’t it? Huh? Huh?

Congratulations anyway!

Those meet results easily belie all your writings about how old/weak you are. 405 deads, really great job.

Bet it’ll feel great for several days.

Great work OG. If you choose to focus on the World BPA championships, so be it
It’ll give me more time to catch that 405 you pulled too.
Bud Diesel. Sounds…good?

Thanks Zman! you will have no problem, hitting 405 and beyond.

Thank you sir…thinking about running 5/3/1 again in attempt to get less weak!

I wanna see a picture of the ugly piece of plaster! Seriously, congratulations!

When you say “this just isn’t my thing” are you referring to competitive powerlifting?
