Chest Training Help

If anyone is actually curious, I’m pretty sure Vince Gironda was an advocate of reverse grip dips.

My bodyweight is around 200lbs, im on a bulk at the moment, my stats are as follows:

DL = 352 x 4
Squat = 270
Bench = 260 x 6

I know my stats are shit at the moment especially the squat but I am working on increasing the poundage and it is going well, just not happy with the chest. I do know my rotator cuff’s are weak so would that make a huge impact? Also, any tips on having an appetite in the mornings?

Your profile says you’re 155lbs…[/quote]

Havent changed my profile for a year nearly, will do now.

Yes sir…There’s some really good stuff on Gironda and his methods on this BB. Also, you can use a standard grip and get a great result as well. Some folks can’t handle the “reverse”. He pretty much threw the standard bench out of his gymn in favour of the wide grip bench to the throat.

I remember reading about that years ago, and doing benches to my neck for a long while. It actually felt great on my upper pecs, even moreso than traditional incline work (at any angle!). I will note though that if you have ‘tweaky’ shoulder issues, it may not be too accommodating -lol. When you first try it, only use the bar, but really try to feel what’s going on muscle-wise.
