Last time that happened at my gym, it shut off the gawdawful “music” but enough light came through the windows to see. Best 5 minutes of squatting I ever had.

Seeing any results from the Sheiko at this point? Other than the sensation of being beaten with baseball bats?

Actually like it. I feel strong on all my lifts but that could change at any moment. I’ve upped my food intake. Sitting @ 230 now. Plan on competing at 220.
The next phase (in two weeks) is the meet/competition prep. Training maxes turn toward meet goals. It ends 10 days before the meet. From those that have done this before, the meet will actually feel easy based on what you’ve done prior.
That’s pretty much what happened to me, halfway through the cycle, I really started to feel the weights were getting too light.
Never did a Sheiko pre-meet, though, this could be interesting.
sheiko volume phase week 4 / day 4

Broken big toe may derail nationals. Broke it Sunday, courtesy of a 100# plate. General Practice/Clinic doc said 4-6 weeks. Podiatrist told me to try squatting light and see if there’s pain. If pain…stop. If not, squat until there is pain and stop. He is more concerned with me keeping balance. I’m going with the podiatrist’s advice. May try squatting tomorrow.
Deadlifting may be a little trickier. I DL conventional.
See the podiatrist in 2 weeks for any progress.
Jesus…you are a walking MAS*H unit…you split your nose with the OHP’s using the cambered bar and now a 100 lbs. plate smashes your toes…we gonna have to wrap you in bubble wrap??? Sorry to hear, Kevin. Hope it does not derail your solid training cycle…if so, there is July.

I can’t get out of my own way. I’ll tell you how it happened next time you’re in. It may have had something to do with how clean the room is now.

Pete, likewise. It was a pleasure to meet you too.
I’ll attribute that “handsome” comment to the fact that the lights below turned low in the crowd. It’s easy to see why you move the weight you do. You are one thick dude.
