I know this isn’t directly helpful information as far as losing fat is concerned, but i was wondering how the T-Nation members’ favorite meal for cheat food is. I usually go for cluck-u chicken or sushi, but once in a blue moon, i have cravings for cereals lol.
Also, i know what certain coaches recommneded for the frequency of cheat meal, but how often do you guys actually treat yourself to a cheat meal? I’m currently 203 lbs at 7.4% BF, so i do think it’s okay for me to have cheat meals here and there…but sometimes i feel like i’m slowing down my progress a bit too much. Not to mention, i’ve been having harder time to be strict with my food intake because in the back of my mind i tend to think ‘what the heck, i’m pretty lean at this point anyways’
I have 1 cheat meal once a week (usually falls on the weekend). I never plan my cheat-meals so to speak, usually they happen when I have to pull a 10-hour shift.
Usually I’ll fall face first into a Meat-Lover’s Pizza, or some Chili Hot Dogs.
I don’t really have cheat meals so much as cheat foods…so if I had a salmon dinner w/ asparagus and steamed vegetables, the appetizer was spinach and artichoke dip. Or I’ll have a wrap w/ a shake for lunch, but I’ll sneak in a cup of tapioca. I do that about 3-5 times a week, which probably averages out to about 2 meals. If you’re a Berardi man, as long as you stick to your diet 90% of the time, you can get away with 2-3 cheat meals and not worry about it.

I just eat more of healthy foods.
my favorite is to get a HUGE (1.5-2.0 lb) sweet potato and bake then slather it with almond butter…so good.
Or you could just eat whatever you want one meal per week.
Life hands me cheat meals. Never plan them, but without fail a cheat meal is forced on me about every 8-10 days. Whether it’s lunch meetings at work, parties, dates, etc. “No I can’t go, I have to eat roast and broccoli. I’ll catch up after I’m done with that.”
they just happen. But it’s not the cheat MEAL that matters, it’s the thousands of other mealS.
