Well, since Charlie and Frances weren’t enough for the state of Florida, we now have Ivan on its way with sustained winds of 160mph as of this morning and gusts of 195mph.
Someone must have a vendetta toward the state of Florida. Well, this is what we think of Ivan.
I know what you mean dude. I live in Jupiter just north of West Palm Beach. Luckily I was one of the first to penetrate the eye of Frances. It felt like the bullseye was on my roof or something. It looks like you’re in Tampa, but you still got hella flooding over there. This morning I noticed Ivan turned a little north and the Keys were evacuated. If it stays a 5 I’m getting the hell out of here. Enjoy!
I dunno— I live in Pensacola and Charley and Frances both skirted past us with little or no ill effect at all. Nothing more than some light rain and wind.
I’m thinking that Ivan might be coming to make up for the wrath we were spared by Charley and Frances. You never know with these hurricanes, though.
I’m in Gville, where we got plenty of downed trees and a lot of flooding. I was lucky and had power, cable and internet the whole time, but many others were not lucky, and 14K are still without power. Even my work is still without power.
You know, from the title, you would think we were talking about Charlie Frances. Funny.
Four of the five computer models show Ivan going straight up through Florida.
I live in SC and need to keep a close eye on this storm.
Tuesday we had around thirty tornados spin off of the remnants of Frances.
One dropped down about a block away, skipped over me and dropped back down on the other side of me. Luckily the main damage was trees and power lines.
Nate Dogg,
Nice storm track, I am at work and busted up laughing when I saw it. I live here in Fort Myers and the last thing Southwest Florida (or the whole state for that matter) needs is another hurricane. We’ve got people in Charlotte county that still have tarps on their roofs.
But what you do, you would have to leave the state to get out of the path. And nobody really knows where it is going.
Best of luck to everybody here in Florida.
