Monty, As far as I can tell the products are the same, and if you buy multiple jugs of the Davies kind, its significantly cheaper, so if the taste suits you, get that. MRM tastes good as far as BCAA go, like bad lemonade.
Do you really believe that David Boston doesn’t use controlled substances?
No, I don’t believe that Boston doesn’t use controlled substances. I think it’s pretty damn obvious that everyone-even the kickers-are juiced to the gills now-a-days. I do, however, believe that Charles Poliquin has given training, nutrition, and supplementation advice to thousands of drug tested athletes and everyday people who are not on steroids. As such, his recommendations merit consideration.
After scanning through these messages and doing a search, I still don’t see where the original Poliquin diet recommendations were posted or any links to where the information originated from.
Just an update on my progress. I’ve been blending the metabolic and T-Dawg diets for about 3 weeks now and have had really, really great results. On my trianing days I eat a p+f meal first in the morning consisting of 2 1/2 scoops of GROW! and a 1 1/2 TBS. of Udo’s. I have 8 oz. of chicken w/ 1 TBS. of Udo’s along w/ some dark greens prior to my workout (I am currently doing Ian King’s 12 week programs for both upper and lower body). Post w/o is two scoops of Surge and I do A P+C meal an hour later, consisting of 6-8 oz. chicken, 1 scoop of grow, 1/3-1/2 cup oats and some type of low GI fruit. After this I continue to eat P+F+veggies for the remainder of the day, alternating Udo’s and Flax capsules from the Vitamin Shoppe. On off days I simply do my P+C in the morning (been using Pro Lab’s new Lean Mass Matrix MRP which has 40 grams of carbs, none from malto and tastes unreal) and then continue with the P+F+veggies for the rest of the day. I try to get as much fresh salmon and other lil swimmy things in as possible. Honestly, I have not really broken down the ratios, but I am doing so well that I do not see the point in doing so right now. When I bulk I plan to stay on the “Eat like a Man” program. Perhaps I will become a little more strict with numbers. Other than that, my energy has been consistently high, trianing is phenominal, and life is good. Take care. Lata.

Can anyone briefly explain the difference if any between the Metabolic Diet as put forth by Di Pasquale and the CKD as found in BodyOpus by Duchaine? I lost alot of muscle on BodyOpus, but I am sure I did something wrong. Also, how are you guys accounting for the macronutrient content of things like red meat or fish. If I buy and eat a Ribeye, how much fat and protein is that? Any handy tips on keeping track of such things?..thanks to all
i dont doubt the efficacy of poliquins training regiment nor do i doubt the use of anabolic steroids in the case of david boston
Noticed the reference to reishi mushrooms. Anyone know the dosage/serving style? I’m imagining Charles passing out these huge mushrooms that everyone eats raw, or perhaps tossing them into the blender to consume with a pw shake.
Check the support group thread for reishi info.
has anyone used this diet with mag-10 and what were the results?
Hey guys,
has anyone used this diet and gotten good strength gains? I’m figuring the lack of carbs would not allow them, but everyone seems to be supporting it so much that maybe people are.
thanks
I lost strength through this diet and HST. As well, I’ve given it up as a dieting protocol. However, for muscle gains - there is nothing like it as far as I’m concerned.
How bad was the strength loss? Now I’m worried because I planned on using this to cut after another week of fat fast and 10X1 training. HST doesn’t seem like it’s strength friendly but is good (if kind of boring) for muscle gain.
